The swimming pool to prevent drowning of children in Dak Nong province was invested in and built by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union from 2021, with a total cost of 15 billion VND; including a 6-lane national standard swimming pool, along with the operating house and shower house.
After nearly 2 years of construction, the project was completed and put into use right before the 2023 summer vacation, expected to become an attractive destination, attracting the attention and participation of children and parents. The swimming pool contributes to creating space and conditions for children to practice in a safe and quality environment. Thereby, promoting physical training, swimming skills, skills to prevent drowning accidents and rescue victims.
At the inauguration ceremony, the Dak Nong Youth Activity Center launched the Youth Swimming Club, consisting of 8 members. Operating weekly, the club will contribute to building and promoting the swimming movement, while selecting and training passionate and talented members to form the province's youth team.
At the inauguration ceremony, the Department of Transport, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee and the Dak Nong Provincial Delegation attending the 12th National Youth Union Congress also presented gifts including necessary equipment for the swimming pool.
