Ho Chi Minh Avenue is 3 km long, located on the most beautiful East-West axis in the capital Algiers, on the Mediterranean coast. The starting point of the avenue is where in November 1954, after Vietnam's Dien Bien Phu victory, Algerian revolutionary soldiers fired the first shot, launching an 8-year armed uprising to gain national independence for the Algerian people. The avenue is a place to express the solidarity between the Algerian people, President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese people, and is a familiar destination for many Vietnamese people living in Algeria and Vietnamese delegations whenever they come to Algeria.

At the campus on Ho Chi Minh Boulevard, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife attended the inauguration ceremony and laid flowers, expressing their respect and infinite gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh before the memorial stele about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh.
The memorial stele records the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh in Arabic and Vietnamese. It states: President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader of the Vietnamese revolution, read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh paid special attention to and actively supported the Algerian people's struggle for national liberation. He, together with Algerian and international revolutionaries, founded the newspaper Le Paria (The Miserable) in 1922; arrived in Biskra in 1946 and was one of the first international leaders to recognize the Algerian Provisional Government in 1958, laying an important foundation for the development of traditional relations and good friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Algeria.
