Inauguration of bringing national grid electricity to Canh Tien village, Canh Lien commune

(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the morning of April 26, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province coordinated with the Central Power Corporation to organize the inauguration ceremony of the Canh Tien village power supply project, Canh Lien commune, Van Canh district from the national power grid. The event marked the milestone of 100% of households in Binh Dinh province having electricity for daily life and production. Attending the inauguration ceremony were Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh, Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Le Binh Thanh; Mr. Ngo Tan Cu, General Director of the Central Power Corporation.

From early morning, hundreds of people in Canh Tien village with 5 ethnic groups living together were bustling with the sound of gong music, with the typical brocade costumes of the people to celebrate the important event of the villagers. After 50 years of liberation and national reunification, Canh Tien has had the national power grid to light up and once again light up the people's faith under the leadership of the Party and State.

Canh Tien village used to be an important revolutionary base during the war in Binh Dinh province. However, due to the rugged mountainous terrain and difficult transportation, the lives of 188 households with more than 530 people were still in need. Previously, there was no national electricity grid, which greatly affected the daily life and production of the people.

Determined to improve living conditions and promote sustainable development, in 2024, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province mobilized many resources to open roads and bring electricity to the village. The project not only provides a stable source of electricity for the people but also creates a strong driving force for socio -economic development in remote areas.

The project to supply electricity to Canh Tien village was implemented by Binh Dinh Electricity Company with a total investment of 15 billion VND, including: newly constructed medium-voltage line with a length of 12.9 km; newly constructed low-voltage line with a length of 2.2 km; construction of 3 new transformer stations and installation of 188 remote electronic meters and indoor electrical systems for all households. The project was started on December 17, 2024. Up to now, the project to supply electricity to Canh Tien village, Canh Lien commune, Van Canh district has completed all items and put into use.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan affirmed that the Canh Tien village electricity project is a project of special significance in economic, cultural and social development; contributing to hunger eradication, poverty reduction, improving the material and spiritual life of the people; at the same time creating motivation to well implement social security policies, political stability and national defense - security in mountainous areas, remote areas; promoting economic restructuring, sustainable rural development.

The project was implemented in complex mountainous terrain and unfavorable weather conditions, but thanks to the high determination of Binh Dinh Electricity Company, the effective coordination of the construction unit, the consensus of officers, engineers, workers and the support of local authorities, after more than 4 months of construction, the project was completed ahead of schedule, ensuring safety and efficiency.

The fact that Canh Tien village, Canh Lien commune, has been supplied with electricity from the national grid is a particularly important event, demonstrating the great determination of the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Dinh province, as well as the persistent efforts of the electricity sector. This is not only a milestone affirming that 100% of households in Binh Dinh province have access to and use electricity, but also a testament to the deep concern of the Party and State for revolutionary bases, remote and disadvantaged areas.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan emphasized: The completion of the project is not only meaningful for Canh Tien village but also opens a major turning point in the socio-economic development of the locality. From now on, people will have a stable, high-quality national grid to serve their daily life, production, study, etc. instead of having to rely on unstable, high-cost solar power or diesel generators as before.

Along with other infrastructure projects in the village that have been invested by the State, having a national grid will be an important premise for the village to develop production, improve the quality of life, especially in the fields ofeducation , health, information and communication. Children have better learning conditions, people have access to quick and accurate information from outside.

This is also a project that clearly demonstrates the humanistic value in the comprehensive and sustainable development policy of the Party and State, demonstrating the efforts to mobilize all resources to bring electricity to disadvantaged areas, shorten the development gap between regions, implement social justice, strengthen the great national unity bloc, and maintain national defense and security in border and mountainous areas.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan believes that with a stable national power grid and a completed transportation system, Canh Tien village will have more favorable conditions for trade, production development, goods transportation, and easier travel, thereby gradually improving and enhancing the lives of the people. The Provincial People's Committee will continue to direct relevant departments and branches to urgently deploy telecommunications infrastructure so that the people of Canh Tien village can soon access essential information and communication services, while speeding up the construction of the connecting road to the village, contributing to creating a solid foundation for socio-economic development in the coming time.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan presented a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee to Binh Dinh Electricity Company for its outstanding achievements in completing the project on schedule and ensuring the set goals; presented 01 TV to the Canh Tien Village community house. The Provincial People's Committee presented 180 gifts to households in the village.

Provincial leaders celebrate the wedding of Dinh Thi Tinh and Dinh Van Toan on the day of the inauguration ceremony to welcome electricity to the village.

The Central Power Corporation donated 40 million VND to the Canh Lien Commune Education Promotion Fund, 50 million VND to extend the power system to all households in the village and gave gifts to all households in the village with the amount of 40 million VND./.
