Inauguration of charity house for poor family

(QBĐT) - On the afternoon of April 25, the Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with the Quang Ninh District Red Cross Society and the People's Committee of Truong Son Commune (Quang Ninh) to organize the inauguration ceremony of a charity house for a disadvantaged household affected by natural disasters, the family of Ms. Tran Thi Thanh (born in 1976), in Hong Son village, Truong Son commune.

The leader of the Provincial Red Cross Society spoke at the ceremony.

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh is a near-poor household, living alone in a dilapidated house that has been seriously degraded for many years. Every rainy season, she always has to live in a state of anxiety and worry because of the risk of losing her safety.

Faced with that situation, through the Southern representative agency, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society and the Provincial Red Cross Society mobilized resources from Robert Walters Vietnam Company Limited to support more than 50 million VND to help her build a solid house.

The completed house not only helps Ms. Thanh have a safe and stable place to live, but also shows the community's deep concern and sharing for those in less fortunate circumstances.

This is one of the practical activities of the Provincial Red Cross Society to respond to the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households in the province, contributing to spreading the spirit of humanity, for a safer and better life for the people.
