Linh Tu Quoc Mau Temple is the place to worship Tran Thi Dung, the last queen of the Ly Dynasty, wife of King Ly Hue Tong, mother of the only queen in Vietnamese history, Ly Chieu Hoang. After King Ly Hue Tong died, the Tran Dynasty was established, she remarried and became the wife of Grand Tutor Tran Thu Do. Tran Thi Dung's original name was Tran Thi Ngu, she was the daughter of Tran Ly, younger sister of Tran Thua and Tran Tu Khanh, and aunt of King Tran Thai Tong (1226 - 1258).
During the resistance war against the Yuan-Mongol army that invaded our country in 1258, she was assigned the task of successfully organizing and implementing the "empty house and empty garden" plan set by the Tran Dynasty, protecting the royal family and nobles of the Tran Dynasty. At the same time, she also stored and transported food in time for the Dai Viet army to destroy the mighty Yuan-Mongol army. Because of her great contributions, King Tran Thai Tong appointed her as Linh Tu Quoc Mau.
Linh Tu Quoc Mau Temple was recognized as a national historical and cultural relic in 1993. Over the ups and downs of time, many items in the relic have been degraded, affecting the religious activities of the people. In order to meet the requirements of protecting and promoting the historical and cultural values of the relic, with the consensus of the local authorities, the donations of local people, philanthropists and children living far from home, in June 2024, the People's Committee of Lien Hiep commune carried out the restoration of the relic with a total cost of phase 1 of more than 6.3 billion VND. Of which, Hung Hai Group supported 6.2 billion VND, the rest was contributed by the people.
Leaders of Lien Hiep commune presented souvenirs to the unit that made many contributions to the restoration of Linh Tu Quoc Mau temple.
After nearly 5 months of construction, Linh Tu Quoc Mau Tran Thi Dung Temple was completed with an area of 3,750m2 , including: A worshiping temple with an area of 130m2 , made of wood; the inner temple has statues, gilded parallel sentences and many precious worshiping objects; outside the worshiping temple, a surrounding wall, a temple gate, a three-door four-pillar gate, a feng shui lake were built to ensure the quality of traditional architecture and fine arts, meeting the needs of spiritual and cultural activities and expressing the tradition of drinking water and remembering its source, showing gratitude to our ancestors, contributing to preserving the historical values of our homeland, affirming the position of Hung Ha on the tourist map of Thai Binh province, a traditional red address of patriotism for future generations.
