Hanoi Police Museum is a work containing the passion, intelligence and sentiments of many generations of leaders, officers and soldiers of the Capital Police. On the morning of October 24, at 67 Ly Thuong Kiet, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi City, Hanoi City Police held the inauguration ceremony of the Project to renovate and upgrade the Hanoi Police Museum.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Duong Duc Tuan, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of Hanoi City Police.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of leaders of the Ministry of Public Security's professional departments; representatives of the Hanoi Party Committee's Propaganda Department; the City People's Committee; the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports; the People's Committees of Hoan Kiem and Cua Nam wards, and mass organizations in the Capital Police force.

Especially the presence of representatives of the People's Police Veterans Association, retired officials, teachers, students and a large number of local people.

With the desire to preserve, conserve and promote precious historical values, pay tribute to the heroic sacrifices of previous generations, and at the same time educate revolutionary traditions to cadres, on October 20, 2008, the Hanoi Police Museum was inaugurated.

This is a project containing the passion, intelligence and sentiment of many generations of leaders, officers and soldiers of the Capital Police, and is also a project to celebrate the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

After 17 years of operation, Hanoi Police Museum has become a familiar destination, attracting a large number of officers, soldiers and people of the capital as well as domestic and international tourists.

This is not only a place to display and introduce valuable artifacts, documents and images, but also a "special school" for officers, soldiers and people, especially the young generation, to better understand the heroic tradition, the bravery, intelligence and creativity of the Capital Police force.

Faced with the increasing demands of propaganda and political and ideological education in the new situation, and to meet the growing needs of the people and tourists, the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the City Police Department have decided to comprehensively renovate and upgrade the museum.

After a period of active and urgent work, the renovation and upgrading of the museum has been completed with a spacious and modern appearance, applying many advanced display technologies; synchronously combining the display content with creative design solutions for interior, graphics, sound, light, and audio-visual equipment.

The museum has nearly 1,500 documents, artifacts, and images collected, displayed, and scientifically arranged according to each space and each historical period, accompanied by an information system and articles in three languages: Vietnamese, English, and French, helping people and tourists at home and abroad easily access and deeply feel the historical value and glorious revolutionary tradition of the Capital Police force.

In parallel with the renovation and upgrading of the traditional museum, the City Police officially put into operation the Hanoi Police Digital Museum. This is an important step forward in applying digital technology to the work of preserving, displaying and promoting historical heritage.

Through the online platform, people, students and tourists at home and abroad can visit and learn about the Museum anytime, anywhere; access a rich archive of documents and artifacts with 3D images, multilingual explanations, virtual tours and many other modern conveniences.

The project not only demonstrates the vision and creativity in propaganda and traditional education work, but also contributes to affirming the image of the Capital Police as a disciplined, elite, modern, humane force, always accompanying the development of the Capital and the country.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police, Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Quyen requested the units assigned to manage and operate the museum to continue to promote a sense of responsibility, regularly supplement and update artifacts and documents, and apply more modern technological solutions to make the museum more and more vivid, truly becoming a "red address" in the political and ideological education of officers and soldiers, and an attractive cultural and historical destination of the capital Hanoi.

Pay attention to training and fostering a team of qualified officers and tour guides with a deep understanding of the history and traditions of the Capital Police, to act as a "bridge" to bring historical values ​​closer to the public. In particular, it is necessary to regularly research and innovate the content and form of exhibitions, associated with major political and cultural events of the country, the Capital and the police sector so that the museum always attracts and creates a deep impression.

After the inauguration ceremony, delegates, guests and students visited and experienced the exhibition spaces, especially the "Digital Museum" area and the "Making a Citizen ID Card in 1945" experience room. These unique activities opened up a new perspective on the development and modernization of the Capital Police force in the digital age.
