Overall survey of landslide level and safety risk on Prenn Pass

Previously, on November 23, at the positive slope, about 500 meters from the gate of Datanla waterfall tourist area, a dangerous landslide appeared. The landslide was about 50 meters long, sliding from above. Thanks to the concrete slope below holding it back, the landslide did not spill onto the road surface, but the incident damaged the drainage ditch and affected the roadbed at the above location.

Currently, this landslide continues to develop in a complex manner. The large landslide force has caused the concrete embankment to crack, potentially pushing the entire new landslide down the pass road, directly threatening traffic safety.

The landslide area on November 17 is being repaired.

Meanwhile, in addition to the serious landslide that occurred on the morning of November 17, forcing the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to declare an emergency, which authorities are currently urgently repairing, Prenn Pass in Da Lat also has a series of subsidence and cracks on the road surface. Most of the serious incidents on the pass occurred on the negative slope, from Da Lat down.

The team surveyed the overall extent of the Prenn Pass landslide to ensure safety.

On the morning of November 24, it was noted that there were a total of nearly 10 landslides and cracks on the road surface on this pass. The investor and the construction unit are mobilizing maximum forces and means to speed up the repair and restoration process. However, due to the occurrence of many landslides and cracks on the road surface at the same time, the reinforcement and repair work will take a long time.

The construction unit is actively reinforcing the positions.

In recent days, Lam Dong province has had prolonged heavy rains causing flooding, landslides, and great damage to houses, properties, crops, infrastructure, roads, etc.

Prenn Pass in Da Lat was upgraded, expanded and put into use nearly a year ago with a total investment of about 550 billion VND. The project is invested by Lam Dong Transport Project Management Board, and constructed by a joint venture of Deo Ca Construction Joint Stock Company - Deo Ca Transport Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company.
