The launching ceremony of the “Startup Flight” initiative took place in Ho Chi Minh City recently, with the participation of Government representatives, city leaders and experts from the Indian Institute of Technology.

Startup Flight is a strategic initiative jointly implemented by the Vietnam National Startup Support Center, Amity Innovation Incubator (India) and Vietjet . The goal is not only to search, but also to create a cross-border innovation corridor, connecting the explosive creativity of Vietnamese and Indian youth.

14 excellent projects ready to "fly high"

Having passed a rigorous screening process from over 600 applications, 14 outstanding projects have officially won the “golden ticket” to attend Bootcamp in India from November 10 to 13, 2025. This is a “real-life laboratory” where ideas are directly “tested by experts, mentors and international investors”, perfecting their models and seeking funding opportunities.

Mr. Ojasvi Babber, CEO of Amity Innovation Incubator, commented: “The innovation bridge between Vietnam and India is stronger than ever. The resonance of values and complementary strengths is the reason why the program received more than 600 registration ideas in a short time. The Startup Flight vividly reflects the spirit of cross-border cooperation and the global aspiration of the young generation of entrepreneurs of the two countries.”

The outstanding projects that made it to the final round span four key areas: Software and Data/AI, E-commerce and Retail, EdTech , and Transportation and Logistics – reflecting the vibrant and diverse landscape of the Vietnam-India startup ecosystem.

The program not only connects startups, but also opens up opportunities for market development, technology cooperation and bilateral investment. We believe that the results from this journey will contribute to promoting economic and trade cooperation and deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.”

The program is a typical example of an effective public-private partnership model, creating a foundation for substantive cooperation towards sustainable development, while contributing to the formation of a sustainable startup ecosystem, strengthening regional connectivity between the two countries and affirming the role of public-private partnership as a driving force for innovation, knowledge transfer and spreading comprehensive development values.

Fostering creative aspirations and sustainable development

Vietnam-India relations are growing, the flight network connecting the two countries is also constantly expanding, Vietjet's routes are connecting India's largest cities such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Hyderabad with cities in Vietnam, opening up unprecedented cooperation opportunities between the two countries.

Activities like the Startup Flight are not only a creative playground, but also a gateway to new cooperation and investment opportunities for Vietnam and India. Accompanying the Startup Flight, Vietjet continues to contribute to fostering the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and India, creating sustainable economic value through connecting innovation centers, promoting cooperation and spreading global knowledge.

“Innovation is only sustainable when ecosystems develop together. Vietnam and India possess complementary strengths in technology, human resources and markets. We expect that the Startup Flight will turn individual strengths into common strengths, creating a foundation for a long-term and sustainable cooperation journey between young entrepreneurs of the two countries,” said Ms. Nguyen Bao Thuy, Expert of the National Center for Supporting Creative Startups, Head of the Organizing Committee of Startup Flight 2025.

After the challenging Bootcamp in India, Vietnam will be the meeting point for the final round in December 2025, where the boldest ideas take off on the international stage, opening up unlimited horizons of cooperation and creativity. Because the Startup Flight does not stop at a competition - it is the beginning of an era of growth, where the generation of Vietnamese and Indian startups share the same aspiration to create a sustainable future.
