Groundbreaking Ceremony of Gel – O&J Automobile Manufacturing Factory Project

On the morning of October 30, at Hung Phu Industrial Park, Hung Phu Commune, GEL – O&J Automobile Joint Stock Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Gel – O&J Automobile Manufacturing Factory Project. Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were comrades: Tran Quoc Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Also attending were comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

The GEL - O&J Automobile Factory Project is the core project of Hung Phu Industrial Park, with a land use scale of 38.1 hectares and a total investment of 319 million USD. This is one of the large-scale and modern projects of the automobile industry in Vietnam. According to the plan, the project will be invested and constructed in four phases: Phase I from 2025 to 2026, with a designed capacity of 60,000 vehicles/year. Phase II from 2027 to 2029, with a designed capacity of 120,000 vehicles/year. Phase III and IV will start construction after 2030 with a total designed capacity of 200,000 vehicles/year.

The factory is designed to integrate: Welding workshop, painting workshop, plastic parts workshop, assembly workshop and professional vehicle testing track according to EU standards along with other production and manufacturing areas such as: Logistics support center, vehicle transportation center, environmental treatment center... The production lines are equipped with advanced automation solutions, integrating smart control technology, optimizing energy and reducing emissions, meeting strict international standards and global standards.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, comrade Le Quang Hoa, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the choice of investors when deciding to invest in Hung Phu Industrial Park and acknowledged the efforts of investors in implementing procedures related to the project in the past time.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in order for the project to start, Hung Yen province has fulfilled its commitment, stepped in decisively, quickly, and promptly answered the investors' suggestions and problems, and always accompanied the investors in the process of preparing and implementing the project. He requested the investors to focus resources on implementing the project to complete it on time or earlier than the registered schedule, put the project into operation soon, promote investment efficiency; strictly comply with the provisions of the law on planning, land, investment, construction, environmental protection and other relevant legal provisions. At the same time, proactively coordinate closely with the departments, branches, and localities of the province to remove difficulties and problems during the project implementation process.
