On the afternoon of October 29, the People's Committee of Da Nang City announced that it had just issued an official dispatch on temporarily suspending preparations for the groundbreaking ceremony of 5 inter-level boarding schools in mountainous communes to focus on preventing, combating, and overcoming the consequences of floods.
According to the previous plan, the groundbreaking ceremony for the multi-level boarding schools for ethnic minorities is expected to be held from November 1 and 2, 2025, at Truong Dac Pring.
However, prolonged heavy rains caused serious flooding and landslides in the mountainous areas west of Da Nang. Many key traffic routes were cut off, posing a potential safety risk, affecting the organization of groundbreaking ceremonies for school projects.
To ensure absolute safety for officials, workers and people in the area, especially students, the People's Committee of Da Nang City has sent an official dispatch requesting the Ministry of Education and Training to report to the Prime Minister for consideration and approval to postpone the groundbreaking ceremony of 5 inter-level boarding schools after the weather conditions are stable and traffic is restored.

Along with that, the People's Committee of Da Nang city requested relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities to temporarily stop all activities of preparation, moving, installation, decoration, erecting stands, gathering materials and other works serving the groundbreaking ceremony.
Concentrate human and material resources to prevent, combat and overcome consequences of floods and storms, ensure traffic safety and people's lives.
When weather conditions are favorable, the city will agree on a new groundbreaking ceremony date and announce the details later.
