On the morning of June 22, at the foot of Hai Van Pass (Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City), Vinpearl Joint Stock Company (under Vingroup ) officially started the Lang Van Tourism and Urban Resort Complex Project, marking an important turning point in the strategy of developing an international-class ecological coastal urban area in the Central region.
Attending the ceremony were Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang, Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh, Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and Chairman of Vingroup Pham Nhat Vuong.

The project has a total area of over 512 hectares, with a total investment of nearly 44,000 billion VND, and is oriented to become a smart, modern "resort city" in harmony between people - nature - technology.
Lang Van has a rare location: close to the sea, leaning against Hai Van pass, about 20 minutes from Da Nang international airport, easily connected to famous tourist centers such as Hoi An, Hue, Son Tra peninsula...
According to the detailed planning scale of 1/500, Lang Van will integrate many functions such as: high-class resort, long-term accommodation, commercial and service center, theme park, eco-tourism area... In which, the highlight is the orientation of sustainable development, maximum preservation of natural ecosystems, history and indigenous culture, while applying advanced ESG standards (environment - society - governance) in design and operation. It is expected that the first phase of the project will be put into operation from 2027.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, emphasized: "The Lang Van project plays a particularly important role in the economic and social development of Da Nang City, especially the northwestern region which still has much untapped potential. After completion, the project is expected to create thousands of jobs, improve people's lives and become a key driving force for tourism development in the city."

According to Mr. Chinh, Da Nang City is committed to working with investors to resolve difficulties and obstacles during the implementation process to ensure project progress and long-term benefits for the people.
On the investor side, Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Vingroup, said: "Lang Van is not simply a resort real estate project, but also a new symbol of a living environment in harmony with nature, modern and sustainable. This will be the place to gather new standards in the development of coastal urban areas and eco-tourism in Vietnam".
Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Vingroup Corporation, expects the project to become an ecological and smart "resort city", contributing to changing the face of northwestern Da Nang and promoting sustainable tourism.

Previously, the project was approved by the Prime Minister to adjust the investment policy in November 2024, and at the same time, the People's Committee of Da Nang City adjusted the area scale from more than 1,067 hectares to more than 512 hectares, in line with the orientation of sustainable development and nature conservation.
The groundbreaking of Lang Van Resort Complex not only marks a turning point in the development planning of the northwestern region of Da Nang City but also contributes to improving the city's tourism competitiveness, aiming to become an international tourism center of the Asia-Pacific region.
