Prosecution of subjects trafficking more than 2 tons of prohibited goods

The Economic Police Department, Ha Giang Provincial Police, has just executed the decisions to prosecute and arrest Nguyen Van Vung, born in 1989, residing in Lien Lac village, Vu Lang commune, Bac Son district, Lang Son province, for the crime of trading in prohibited goods, according to Article 190 of the Penal Code.

Previously, on March 30, 2025, the Traffic Police Department, Ha Giang Provincial Police, while patrolling and controlling Hoa Bac village, Thuan Hoa commune, Vi Xuyen district, discovered a truck with license plate number: 12A-010.02, driven by Nguyen Van Vung. The truck carrying goods could not present legal invoices or documents.

The Traffic Police Department coordinated with the Economic Police Department to conduct an inspection. The results determined that the transported goods included 2,220 kg of Chinese pesticides, which are not yet permitted for circulation or use in Vietnam.

Currently, the case is being further investigated and handled by the provincial police according to the provisions of law.
