Vietnam Trail Marathon Starts

On the morning of January 20, in Moc Chau district, the 2024 Vietnam Trail Marathon officially kicked off with the participation of more than 4,000 athletes from 40 countries and territories.

Athletes participating in the 70km distance are excited before the start time.

At Muong Thanh Moc Chau Hotel, at exactly 4:00 a.m., the athletes who registered to run the 70 km distance set off with the determination to conquer the trails through many places with beautiful natural scenery, peaceful villages, grasslands, tea hills, and plum blossom valleys.

Determined to conquer the trails here, athletes have carefully prepared their physical strength, knowledge of the terrain and equipped themselves with necessary equipment on the track to ensure safety and the highest performance.

Then at 7:00 and 8:00, athletes participating in the 42 km and 21 km distances will start at Muong Thanh Moc Chau Hotel; at 9:00, athletes participating in the 10 km distance will start at Phieng Canh village and the 5 km stage will start at Na Ka plum valley, Pa Khen sub-district, Moc Chau Farm town; the destination of the stages is the Heart-shaped tea hill in Moc Chau Farm town.

The weather this morning was not rainy, favorable for the athletes to compete. The organizing committee has arranged many support stations, serving water, fruit, and medical staff to support, ensuring the safety and convenience of the athletes throughout the competition. On each running route, there are many people cheering, adding motivation and spirit for the athletes to reach the finish line.

Athletes participate in the 5 km distance.

Each distance has brought exciting challenges to the athletes; especially each person will have a close-up view of the daily life of ethnic villages, that is why the race is always considered one of the most beautiful terrain running routes in Vietnam.
