Without setting aside the stabilization fund, RON95-III gasoline price drops nearly 300 VND per liter

From 3:00 p.m. on September 5, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by VND353/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by VND282/liter; diesel decreased by VND385/liter; kerosene decreased by VND341/liter and fuel oil decreased by VND407/kg.

Domestic gasoline prices continued to fall in today's management period (September 5), also the third consecutive decrease of this product.

According to the decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, from 3:00 p.m., the price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by 353 VND, down to 19,979 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 282 VND/liter, the new price is 20,827 VND/liter; diesel oil decreased by 385 VND/liter, down to 18,092 VND/liter.

Also in this management period, kerosene decreased by 341 VND, the new price is 18,724 VND/liter and mazut decreased by 407 VND, down to 15,155 VND/kg.

During this management period, the joint ministries continued not to set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products.

A representative of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) said that as of the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the price stabilization fund (BOG) at the enterprise was 3,079 billion VND, unchanged from the announcement period last week.

Most recently (August 29), E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by 92 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 208 VND/liter; diesel oil decreased by 299 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 84 VND/liter, and mazut oil decreased by 194 VND/kg.

According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the period of petroleum price management will be shortened from 10 days to 7 days, implemented every Thursday.

In case the price management period coincides with a holiday according to regulations, it will be implemented as follows: If Thursday coincides with the first day of the holiday, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the previous Wednesday. If Thursday coincides with the remaining holidays, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the first working day after the holiday./.
