- As the scriptwriter and director of the program, can the artist share the message of the program "Immortal Stone Citadel"?

- July always reminds every Vietnamese person of the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", to repay those who sacrificed their youth, happiness and even their lives for the country to survive. Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater performs the program "Immortal Stone Rampart" to light a flame of memory, an artistic symphony crystallized from music , images, emotions, as a deep gratitude to those who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

The program is not only a memorial activity, but also a journey back to the past, where the blood and bones of our ancestors have permeated every inch of our homeland. Through that, “Immortal Stone Rampart” wants to spread the message of the aspiration to live beautifully, to live responsibly for great things; to arouse gratitude, pride and remind today’s generation of the value of peace ; at the same time, to educate the tradition of patriotism and revolution for cadres, party members and all classes of people, especially the young generation - those who follow in the footsteps of their ancestors to build and protect the Fatherland.

- What is the meaning of the image "Immortal Stone Rampart" being chosen as the name of the program, director?

- “Stone Rampart” is a symbol of strength, solidarity and indomitable will like the people who made the history of the nation. To have today’s peace, our nation has gone through many resistance wars against foreign invaders. There have been countless heroic martyrs, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded and sick soldiers who fought to protect the Fatherland, becoming immortal symbols in the hearts of every Vietnamese person. They themselves have created solid “ramparts” with blood, bones and patriotism, which have been engraved and cherished through many generations. Therefore, “Immortal Stone Rampart” is not only the name of the program, but also a sacred name for them.

- Can the artist share more specifically about the content of the art program "Immortal Stone Ramparts"?

- With the theme “Paying tribute to soldiers with sounds”, the program “Immortal Stone Citadel” is a journey back to the heroic memories of the nation, recalling a time of bombs and bullets when millions of ordinary people were ready to fight and sacrifice for independence and freedom. In each melody and song, the audience will feel the image of soldiers in their twenties leaving without a return date, wounded soldiers leaving a part of their flesh and blood on the battlefield, mothers and wives silently enduring loss.

The program was elaborately staged, combining many emotional and humane performances, expressing patriotism, national pride and the desire for peace. The audience will enjoy many songs that "go with the years" such as " Dien Bien Victory" (Do Nhuan), "The First Female Heroine" (poem by Le Ngoc Ngan, music by Tran Kim Phung), "Be Van Dan lives forever" (Huy Du), "Grateful to Vo Thi Sau" (Nguyen Duc Toan), "Your words echo forever" (Vu Thanh), "The liaison girl" (poem by Hong Vinh, music by Do Hong Quan), "Vanh hoa luong" (poem by Nguyen Thi Phuong, music by Minh Quang), "Co gai truc duong" (Xuan Giao), "Dong song hoa do" (Vo The Hung), "Ta ra tran hom nay" (Van An), "Co nhung tuoi 20 nhu the" (Nguyen Hong Son), "Hat ve anh" (The Hien), "Hon ngan thu" (Duc Trinh), "Linh thinh Viet Nam" (Le Quang), "Viet tiep chuoc hoa binh" (Nguyen Van Chung)...

- During the process of staging the program, what worried you the most?

- The biggest concern is how to make each performance touch the emotions of today's audience, especially the young generation. We want them to really "listen", "watch" and "feel". That is why each song, each dance performance, each documentary image is carefully selected, so that the audience not only sees an elaborate art program, but also feels the great sacrifice of the silent people who wrote history.

The participation of many veteran singers such as People's Artist Quoc Hung, People's Artist Hong Hanh, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, musician Truong Quy Hai; and artists loved by the audience such as Duc Tuan, Viet Danh, Duyen Quynh, Thu Hang, Phuc Dai, Hai Anh, Lan Thu... will contribute to effectively spreading the program's message.

- In the series of emotional performances, what is the highlight of the program, director?

- Each performance carries a unique message, a slice of memory that shows the heroism, strong will and silent sacrifices of generations of Vietnamese people. Perhaps, the audience will be impressed with "Immortal Stone Citadel" - the song used as the title of the program, composed and performed by musician Truong Quy Hai with a guitar. The work was inspired by the touching story of martyr Nguyen Viet Ninh - who heroically sacrificed himself at the Vi Xuyen front. On the gun he held until his last breath was engraved the words: "Living clinging to the rocks to fight the enemy - Dying to become immortal stone". That line is not only his own iron oath, but has become the spiritual symbol of an entire generation of soldiers on the fierce front line. The song is a tribute to the soldiers in their twenties who "turned to stone" to protect every inch of the sacred land of the Fatherland.

In addition, there were many performances that touched the hearts of listeners such as "Hoa sim bien gioi" performed by People's Artist Hong Hanh, "Ta ra tran hom nay" and "Co nhung tuoi 20 nhu the" performed by singer Duc Tuan, evoking the image of young soldiers leaving without a return date, devoting themselves to great ideals and strong belief in the day of victory.

- Sincerely thank People's Artist Tran Binh!
