Industrial promotion 'supports' businesses to conquer export markets

On November 27, Huong Que Production - Trading - Import-Export Company Limited (Huong Que Company), Hoa Khanh Ward, Da Nang City officially exported the first order of 15,000 pairs of cinnamon slippers to the Dubai market (UAE).

This is also an order produced using a new technological line worth more than 1 billion VND, invested by the company with the support of funding from the industrial promotion program.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son - Director of the Company shared that the unit has invested in a system of 2 modern technological machines including drying cages, automated conveyor belts and automated hydraulic presses to produce cork-rice husk sandals with cinnamon - a new, high-end product line of the company for export. The investment cost for the new production line is nearly 1.04 billion VND. Of which, the support from the Da Nang Industrial Promotion Program in 2025 is 300 million VND.

Investing in new machinery will help the unit save significantly on transportation and product processing costs each year. From 2026, it is expected that each year, the machinery system will serve to dry and press the soles of about 44,000 pairs of sandals and increase output by about 20% per year.

“The investment helps the company to be proactive and confident in promoting and receiving more orders, organizing production and delivering to export partners on time as committed in the contract,” said Mr. Son.

Last October, STCO Food Company Limited in Hoa Tien commune also received support from the industrial promotion program to apply advanced machinery and equipment to produce pho for export.

STCO Company invested in a system of 3 machines: double cup sealing machine, salt seasoning packaging machine and oil seasoning packaging machine with a total cost of 734 million VND. Of which, the industrial promotion capital supported up to 300 million VND.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan Trang - Director of Huong Que Company informed that the investment in the new production line has increased the production capacity more than 2 times (from 16,800 to 38,400 products/day), production costs have decreased by 15%, and revenue has doubled. Currently, 100% of products are exported. With the support from the industrial promotion program, the company is more confident in searching, expanding production and promoting exports.

Industrial promotion contributes positively to export turnover

In 2025, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion of Da Nang City (Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang) conducted 2 rounds of handing over machinery and equipment to 7 units under the industrial promotion program. The total investment cost for the machinery was more than 7.28 billion VND. Of which, the industrial promotion support fund was nearly 2.17 billion VND. The rest was the counterpart capital of the enterprise (more than 5.11 billion VND).

More and more businesses benefiting from the city's industrial promotion program are investing in expanding production by piloting machinery for greener, cleaner production, or investing in advanced, modern machinery, equipment, and technology, standardizing products according to high standards, thereby expanding export markets.

Ms. Do Thi Quynh Tram - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City said that recently, many supporting and mechanical enterprises and small and medium enterprises in the city have been supported to invest in machinery, production lines and standardize designs and packaging; helping to significantly increase productivity, output and product quality, making an important contribution to the total import-export turnover of the city.

Recognizing that industrial promotion is an essential input activity to help businesses create quality products with export value, Ms. Tram said that the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to accompany businesses to access support policies on trade promotion, industrial promotion, production expansion and quality improvement.

More and more businesses in Da Nang City are benefiting from the industrial promotion program to invest in modern machinery and equipment, expand production, and standardize products according to high standards; thereby expanding export markets and actively contributing to increasing the city's import-export turnover.
