Cars that are fun enough often come with a high price tag. But the 2024 Kia Morning could change that.

The first leaked images of the 2024 Kia Morning (aka Picanto) have been posted on the Korean forum Autospy. The car is expected to make its global debut later this month.
This is the second facelift for the current generation Kia Morning - launched in 2017 and first facelifted in 2020.
Kia's decision to invest in a major facelift - rather than a new model - comes as city car sales fall and strict emissions regulations are said to make it harder for manufacturers to make cars that are both affordable and compliant.
It is unclear whether this will affect the selling price of the Kia Morning 2024.

But from the outside, it is clear that the Kia Morning 2024 inherits the design from the EV9 electric SUV, with vertical headlights using LED technology. This type of headlight will also appear on the upcoming new version of the Carnival and Sorento.
The tiger-nose grille has been tweaked. The black trim is likely to be exclusive to the GT-Line. The two-tone multi-spoke wheels are somewhat inspired by the EV9.
The rear has also been redesigned. Most notably is the new trend of continuous taillights. The two taillights are vertical. The rear bumper has a new design, while the exhaust pipe is hidden under the car. The trunk release lever area is placed higher than the old version.
Interior images have not been revealed, but Australian site Drive believes that the control clusters will be refreshed, the instrument cluster will integrate a 4.2-inch multi-information screen and the central entertainment screen will still be 8 inches but with a new interface. The steering wheel design will not change compared to the current version.
Modern Hyundai and Kia cars always have 10.25-inch to 12.3-inch touch screens, but this equipment seems too "expensive" for the Morning 2024, which belongs to the A-class hatchback segment.

The Kia Morning 2024 is a mid-life facelift. As such, the chassis and many other mechanical details remain the same. More detailed information about the engine, equipment and safety features will have to wait until the official launch date. But not all markets will be equipped with the same features.
In Vietnam, Kia Morning is currently distributed by THACO Auto in two parallel generations with the names: Morning and New Morning.
Morning is the second facelift version of the second generation, priced at 356-394 million VND.
New Morning is the first facelift version of the 3rd generation, priced at 369-439 million VND. The car is a competitor of Hyundai Grand i10 and Toyota Wigo.

In Kia Vietnam's product line, Morning is not in the top sales group. In the first four months of 2023, Kia Morning only sold 603 cars, behind Sonet, Seltos, Carnival, K3, Sportage, Carens and Sorento.
Therefore, Morning is often not prioritized for new generation updates or upgraded versions like the international market. Vietnamese customers will have to wait a while to access Morning 2024./.
