The story of Hoang Yen (33 years old, Hanoi ) is a typical example. Once a business manager at a large corporation, Hoang Yen decided to give up her stable job to pursue her passion for affiliate marketing on TikTok.

"At that time, both my husband and I were busy with work at the company, so our children were often picked up late. Many times, I felt that my family was not being taken care of properly. Therefore, I decided to quit my job to find another job that would give me more time to take care of my family while still ensuring my income," she shared.

In October 2023, Hoang Yen officially began her entrepreneurial journey. Yen invested 5 million VND in an online course to familiarize herself with the TikTok platform and basic knowledge of affiliate marketing.

As someone who "loves the kitchen and is addicted to home", she chose to develop her channel in the direction of reviewing household products.

The first videos reviewing washing machine and household appliance cleaning products did not create much of an impression, and orders were slow to arrive.

"Although the first video had some results, sales were still very slow," she shared.

It took nearly 2 months for the video about the disposable double-headed toilet brush to really make a breakthrough. This video unexpectedly went viral (received many hits), reached millions of views and brought in about 500 million VND in revenue for the cooperating shop (commission about 10%).

This success not only brings a significant source of income but also motivates women to continue pursuing their chosen path.

The secret to success: Be persistent, be genuine and bring value

According to Hoang Yen, affiliate marketing is not a "quick win" field as many people think. To develop sustainably, serious investment and long-term calculation are required.

For this woman, the path to building a canal follows three words: Persistence, honesty and value.

"In general, I think that doing this job requires perseverance. Many people follow it but many people also leave it," she affirmed.

According to Hoang Yen, perseverance is not simply endurance, but also the ability to adapt and overcome difficult times.

"The TikTok Affiliate market is constantly changing, algorithms are changing, and there are more and more competitors. There were times when I thought about giving up, but then I told myself to persevere, continue to learn and explore new directions," she shared.

Authenticity is the next key factor to success. In the world of social media full of flowery advertisements, sincerity and reality become even more precious. Hoang Yen understands this clearly. Every product must go through a verification process before being evaluated.

"I have to make sure the product is suitable for me and I am really satisfied with the quality before making a review video," she affirmed.

This TikToker said that to create a loyal following, the channel itself not only needs to sell products but also needs to bring value to viewers.

"I want to build a personal brand with my own unique mark, a brand built on a foundation of values. Therefore, I have a lot of content sharing life experiences, useful tips about home, technology, ... without any sales links.

I believe that when you give real value, you will receive much more in return," she said.

These videos sharing knowledge and experience not only help her attract more followers, but also build the image of a dynamic, knowledgeable and sharing woman.

This is the "key" to the positive results that Hoang Yen achieved in the field of TikTok Affiliate.

Balance life

One of the advantages of the new job is flexibility in working hours, which allows housewives to take better care of their families.

Hoang Yen usually works from Monday to Friday, spending 5-6 hours a day on work depending on her children's schedule.

Her work is well-organized, cleverly taking advantage of every free moment. When her child is sleeping, she takes advantage of the opportunity to film product review videos. When her child is awake, she takes care of her child, edits videos, and dubs. All steps are done neatly with just a phone and a simple tripod.

"Some days I work all day if I have time, but there are also days when I'm busy with my children and I take a day off. The advantage of this job is that I can actively arrange my time, rest when I'm tired, and make up for it when I'm free," she said with a laugh.

When asked about the initial difficulties, Yen frankly shared: "The hardest thing is thinking of content. Filming is not too difficult, my videos are also simple, not fussy, mainly focusing on content and product."

Sharing about her future plans, Hoang Yen said she is planning to livestream. However, because she is still busy taking care of her young child, Yen cannot do it right away.

"I'll probably have to wait until my children are a little older. Right now, I still prioritize spending time with my children," the mother of two shared.

Yen-Tue An Mommy's channel (@tueanmommy.review) is currently one of the TikTok channels specializing in reviewing home appliances, attracting more than 25,000 followers and nearly 620,000 likes.

The channel's content focuses on introducing and reviewing household appliance products, especially those that help optimize the work of housewives.

Thanks to serious investment, currently, Tue An Mommy can produce 3-4 videos per week, maintaining regular and quality content for viewers.
