Checking and evaluating the model of implementing science and technology tasks in 2025

The inspection team evaluated the model of "Selection of disease-free, seedless, high-yielding, high-quality orange varieties".

The project “Breeding promising black sticky rice lines and moving towards building a brand for Kon Tum province (old)” is chaired by Can Tho University and Master Huynh Nhu Dien is the head of the project with the goal of breeding promising black sticky rice lines with good yield and quality, adaptable to the cultivation conditions of Kon Tum province, moving towards building a brand for OCOP products.

Up to now, the project's host and project manager has evaluated the agro-biological characteristics of black sticky rice varieties in Kon Tum province and neighboring areas; selected and created starting materials for the breeding of new black sticky rice lines/varieties from the gene bank of the Faculty of Agriculture , Can Tho University; bred new varieties and selected promising segregating populations with 9 colored grain sticky rice varieties as parents and established 18 parent pairs (18 combinations). From June 2025 to now, the F5 and F6 generation of black sticky rice lines have been planted in the field. Morphological characteristics, agronomic characteristics, yield components and actual yield have been described. Quality characteristics and biochemical indicators of 31 sticky rice lines in the F5 generation were analyzed for quality characteristics and biochemical indicators of the F5 generation of black sticky rice lines. Continue to evaluate because the selected sticky rice line is still segregating, the purity is not uniform in phenotype in the F6 generation.

The project "Experimental planting of the Black Summer grape variety in some ecological sub-regions of Kon Tum province (old)" is chaired by the Institute for Agricultural and Rural Planning Research and chaired by Dr. Nguyen Van Toan - Director of the Institute for Agricultural and Rural Planning Research with the goal of experimental planting of the Black Summer grape variety in some ecological sub-regions of the province. Outdoor planting model and greenhouse planting model: 2 models/site x 2 sites (scale 300-500 m 2 /site); evaluate the adaptability of the Black Summer grape variety in the experimental planting areas as a basis for recommendations in production; complete technical documents on planting and caring for the Black Summer grape variety; provide training and technical guidance for recommendations in production.

From February 2025 to present, the agency in charge and project manager has conducted a field survey to select 02 locations to arrange 04 experimental planting models of Black Summer Grapes; constructed 04 experimental planting models with 02 outdoor models and 02 indoor models and installed greenhouses and irrigation systems.

The topic "Selection of disease-free, seedless, high-yielding, high-quality, and inter-season ripening orange varieties for production development in Kon Tum province (old)" is chaired by the Mekong Delta High-tech Agriculture Research Institute and chaired by Dr. Nguyen Trong Phuoc - Deputy Director of the Mekong Delta High-tech Agriculture Research Institute, with the aim of selecting 1-2 promising, disease-free, seedless orange varieties with high yield and quality, suitable for some ecological zones in Kon Tum (old); evaluating the growth and development capacity in some ecological zones of Kon Tum province (old); completing technical guidance documents on propagation and planting of disease-free orange varieties suitable for the province's conditions.

Model of "Selection of disease-free, seedless, high-yielding, high-quality orange varieties".

The project will be implemented from August 2023 with the following contents: Selecting a group of orange varieties; surveying and selecting locations to build a pilot model of selected orange varieties (selecting 3 locations); building a pilot model of selected orange varieties in different ecological zones (scale: 0.1 ha/varieties/location; deployed on 3 locations); evaluating the survival, growth and pests of trees during the construction phase; evaluating the growth, development and pests of orange trees (year 1); evaluating the growth, development and pests of orange trees (year 2).

Through inspection and evaluation of the models of the S&T tasks, the inspection team recorded the results achieved by each topic being implemented up to now. At the same time, the working group also made some suggestions for the presiding agency and the task manager to make more appropriate changes and adjustments to implement the task to ensure the objectives and products according to the description and signed contract.
