In Khanh An commune, the delegation conducted a survey on housing construction support for households with revolutionary contributions. Accordingly, the delegation directly inspected the construction progress of Mr. Tran Van Cong's house, a revolutionary contributor in Hamlet 10, and the current status of two martyrs' graves in Hamlet 7 and Hamlet 1. The inspection showed that social security projects in the area are being implemented on schedule, ensuring quality requirements and implementation progress.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan inspected the progress of house construction for Mr. Tran Van Cong, a revolutionary contributor in Hamlet 10.

According to the report, the entire U Minh district currently has 1,019 houses that need to be removed from their temporary and dilapidated state, of which 232 are for households with revolutionary contributions, including 119 newly built houses and 113 repaired houses. As of the time of inspection, 214 houses had been started and 84 houses had been completed and put into use.

Regarding the work of supporting the construction and renovation of martyrs' graves, the whole district currently has 217 martyrs' graves buried in family grounds; of which 40 graves are degraded and damaged. Implementing the gratitude program, the district has built new grave covers for 32 cases and repaired 8 cases, with a total allocated budget of 760 million VND. To date, the construction and repair of 37 graves has been completed with a total implementation budget of 710 million VND (of which 31 new graves were built, with a budget of 620 million VND; 6 graves were repaired, with a budget of 90 million VND).

The remaining 3 graves have not been renovated because 1 grave was registered for new construction but in reality is still intact and does not need to be replaced; 2 graves were registered for repair but the family has not agreed on the time of implementation so the funding has not been received. According to regulations, the support level for building a new grave shell is 20 million VND/grave; repair is 15 million VND/grave.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan and the working delegation inspected the progress of building a new tomb for martyrs in Hamlet 7.

Speaking at the inspection, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan acknowledged and commended the results achieved in implementing social security policies and taking care of people with meritorious services. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities to continue to make more efforts to ensure the progress of assigned tasks; at the same time, strengthen inspection and supervision of key programs on poverty reduction and gratitude policies.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan and the delegation burned incense at the martyrs' grave in Hamlet 1.

Through the work of gratitude, the attention of the Party, the State and the authorities at all levels is shown. The implemented projects not only contribute to improving the material and spiritual life of the people but also deeply demonstrate the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", creating consensus and trust in the community, while improving the effectiveness and efficiency of State management right from the grassroots. Taking care of housing and rebuilding martyrs' graves are practical actions, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and affection of the Party and the State towards policy families, contributing to the effective implementation of social security programs and promoting revolutionary traditions in the province.
