At the conference, many opinions from businesses and investors focused on the issue of completing appraisal procedures early, submitting to the Prime Minister for approval of the general planning of Phu Quoc City (Kien Giang); promptly issuing specific land prices to calculate land rent for projects, determining land prices in accordance with the time of issuing land lease decisions.

Mr. Tran Trung Ket - representative of Phu Quoc Tourism Development Investment Association proposed to Kien Giang province leaders to work with the General Department of Tourism, Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and airlines to have a reasonable airfare mechanism that not only meets the interests of airlines but also promotes local tourism activities as well as consumer interests, especially during weekends and holidays.

Phu Quoc Tourism Development Investment Association proposed to handle the pollution from Dong Cay Sao landfill and invest in building a centralized wastewater treatment system for the entire Phu Quoc City to control wastewater quality to meet requirements and protect the environment; completely stop collecting waste at Dong Cay Sao landfill and arrange a waste collection area at a location far from tourist centers, not affecting residents and tourists...

Representatives of Kien Giang Provincial Business Association proposed expanding the scope of businesses participating in the dialogue.

The representative of CNT Group Construction and Materials Trading Joint Stock Company proposed that the authorities thoroughly resolve the policy of planning a concentrated night market in Ha Tien City (Kien Giang). Recommend that the People's Committee of Ha Tien City soon have a plan to consider allowing businesses to have their own wharves and yards (for sale or long-term lease) to stabilize and develop the local economy in the long term. Some delegates recommended that the authorities pay more attention to supporting and creating more favorable conditions for businesses to participate in trade promotion activities, promote products to the world market, and make the most of Vietnam's strengths in seafood.

Banks should soon have solutions to support businesses in ensuring credit room, reducing lending interest rates and stabilizing foreign exchange rates at a reasonable level to ensure the competitiveness of Vietnamese goods in the export market...

Representatives of provincial departments and branches received, answered questions and informed the business community about many orientations in the coming time.

Through the opinions of enterprises, investors and responses from relevant departments and branches, it can be seen that most departments, branches, sectors and the People's Committees of Ha Tien City and Phu Quoc City have proactively received and promptly resolved the recommendations of enterprises with quite complete and timely content.

Delegates recommended to soon complete the appraisal procedures and submit to the Prime Minister for approval the master plan of Phu Quoc City (Kien Giang).

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee Lam Minh Thanh acknowledged the contributions and recommendations of enterprises. The Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee said that enterprises have an important position in socio-economic development, are an important sector in creating jobs, increasing income for workers, mobilizing social resources for development investment and contributing to the State budget.
