In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, Vietnamese Consul General in Khon Kaen Dinh Hoang Linh and his wife, along with the staff of the Consulate General and overseas Vietnamese, were moved to offer incense in memory and gratitude to the Vietnamese people who sacrificed for the Fatherland, including martyrs who are overseas Vietnamese in Thailand.

Speaking at the ceremony, Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh emphasized that the Vietnamese people and overseas Vietnamese will forever remember the heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and people with revolutionary contributions over the past century who did not spare their blood and bones, bravely fought and sacrificed for independence, freedom, unification and protection of the Fatherland.

The great sacrifices of heroic martyrs and wounded soldiers have created a particularly meaningful spiritual value of "Determination to die for the Fatherland, determination to live", forming a "resilient and indomitable" Fatherland for the country's peace , prosperous development, and for the Vietnamese people today to be prosperous and happy.

Mr. Luong Xuan Hoa, member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front , Vice President of the Association of Vietnamese People in Thailand, President of the Association of Vietnamese People in Udon Thani expressed his pride and gratitude for the revolutionary tradition and meaningful contributions of overseas Vietnamese to the country over the past nearly a century.

He emphasized that overseas Thai people always remember and organize many meaningful activities on the occasion of the country's anniversaries, demonstrating the inheritance and promotion of glorious revolutionary traditions, solidarity spirit, and passionate patriotism.

The celebration of War Invalids and Martyrs Day vividly demonstrates the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" and "When eating fruit, remember the person who planted the tree" with profound humanity, deeply reflecting the traditional cultural identity and spiritual values of Vietnam.
