Officers of Market Management Team No. 1 inspect clothing items at the business represented by Mr. Doan Thanh Tam.
At about 9:00 a.m. on June 14, 2023, Market Management Team No. 1 (under the Provincial Market Management Department) conducted an administrative inspection of a business household represented by Mr. Doan Thanh Tam at block 6/124, Thanh Binh B quarter, Go Dau district town, specializing in buying and selling ready-made clothes, household appliances, electrical appliances, etc.
The team discovered that Mr. Doan Thanh Tam's household was trading in smuggled goods, which were used camouflage-patterned clothes, 82 pieces, made abroad, without invoices or documents accompanying the goods. The listed price on each product was 50,000 VND/piece.
Mr. Pham Quoc Thanh - Captain of Market Management Team No. 1 said that the Team has drawn up a record, temporarily confiscated all the above mentioned clothes; at the same time, issued a decision to administratively sanction this violation of the business household represented by Mr. Doan Thanh Tam, with the fine amount to be paid being 3 million VND.
Mr. Thanh also said that in the near future, Market Management Team No. 1 will continue to monitor clothing stores in Go Dau, Ben Cau districts, and Trang Bang town to promptly detect and handle according to the law if there are any cases of business violations of related regulations; at the same time, continue to promote propaganda to people and small traders to know and comply with regulations in business.
It is known that the Provincial Market Management Department has directed Market Management Teams in the whole province to simultaneously inspect ready-made clothing stores to promptly detect and handle according to the law for the business activities of clothing of unknown origin. The Provincial Market Management Department recommends that business households and people who need to buy clothes pay close attention to the origin of this item to avoid being handled according to the regulations.
