The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) has officially opened a representative office in Hanoi from April 24, 2025. This is KITA's second office in Vietnam after Ho Chi Minh City, demonstrating its orientation to expand trade promotion activities in major economic centers.

Established in 1946, KITA is currently Korea's largest trade promotion organization, representing over 77,000 member companies. With a network of offices in 15 countries, KITA serves as a trade and investment hub for Korean businesses around the world.
Vietnam is currently Korea’s third largest trading partner and a strategic investment destination in Southeast Asia. Setting up an office in Hanoi brings KITA closer to the Korean business community that is operating strongly in the North – an area that attracts large corporations in the fields of electronics, mechanics, and technology.
According to the first license issued by the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, the Office will operate until 2030, with the functions of promoting trade and investment, providing market information and organizing business connection programs.
Mr. Kang Heon Woo – a veteran in the field of international trade – has been appointed as Head of the Office. With more than 15 years of experience in Asian markets, he will be in charge of coordinating trade promotion activities between the two countries in the Northern region.
