With the motto "whoever has something to contribute, whoever has meritorious services to contribute meritorious services, whoever has property to contribute property, whoever has a lot to contribute a lot, whoever has little to contribute a little", the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" after being launched in the province received the participation and active contributions of agencies, units, collectives, individuals, businesses, philanthropists and people of all walks of life. To eliminate 2,740 temporary and dilapidated houses, the entire political system of Kon Tum province joined in under the strong direction of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, the determination and efforts of all levels of sectors and people. Up to now, the province has completed the construction of 2,220 new houses, repaired 520 houses and handed them over to households, 2 months earlier than the direction of the Prime Minister. The total number of working days to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area is 182,100 days. The total cost of implementing the elimination of temporary houses is nearly 200 billion VND; In which, households contributed nearly 50 billion VND; resources mobilized from the Central and local levels were nearly 150 billion VND. Notably, the Ministry of Public Security actively contributed to the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Kon Tum province with a support amount of 84 billion VND, accounting for more than 40% of the total funding for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses mobilized by the province, thereby helping to repair and build 1,400 new houses.

Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Tuan, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Kon Tum province, highly appreciated the efforts of all levels, sectors and localities, the attention and support of ministries, sectors and central agencies, the kindness of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, people of all walks of life, philanthropists, and businesses inside and outside the province who have actively responded to the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Kon Tum province; thereby, he requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front, and socio -political organizations to continue to review and assess the housing situation of poor households, near-poor households, policy families, single people, and people with disabilities to orient support and build houses close to actual needs. Party committees and authorities need to regularly organize thematic activities in villages, hamlets, and residential groups to raise awareness, arouse the will to be self-reliant, avoid the mentality of waiting and relying on households that have been supported to remove temporary and dilapidated houses so that they can improve their lives; at the same time, integrate the content of mobilizing the construction of cultural life, socio-economic development, and households into the activities of Party cells and residential groups. Grassroots cadres must be close to the people, be friends with the people, accompany the people, promptly encourage and guide households to live, protect and use housing effectively and long-term.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Tuan suggested that, along with supporting people to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, all levels of sectors and localities should strengthen leadership and direction to synchronously implement poverty reduction solutions associated with the implementation of socio -economic development tasks and new rural construction in the area.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 21 collectives and 32 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Kon Tum province" in 2025.
