23rd session, 17th Provincial People's Council: Passed 7 important resolutions

On the afternoon of April 9, the 17th Provincial People's Council held its 23rd session (special session) to consider and decide on important issues. Comrades: Ha Quang Tien, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Quang Nguyen, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the session.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Khac Hieu, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Phung Thi Kim Nga, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, delegates listened to the review report, gave opinions, and considered and approved the submission on the issuance of 7 important resolutions, including: Submission on the proposal to adjust, supplement and assign details of the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025 (phase 12); Submission on the proposal to allocate the local state budget investment plan for 2025 (phase 4).

Submission to adjust the investment policy of the Project on the Development of Type II Cities (Green Cities) - Vinh Phuc Province Component Project, borrowing capital from the Asian Development Bank (ADB); Submission to the Draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council stipulating the preferential regime of land rent exemption for projects using land for production and business purposes in preferential investment sectors (industries and trades with preferential investment) or preferential investment areas in Vinh Phuc province.

Report on approval of the list of works and projects requiring land acquisition for implementation in 2025 in Vinh Phuc province (supplemented); Report on changing the purpose of using rice-growing land and production forest land and deciding on the policy of changing the purpose of using forests to other purposes to implement projects in Vinh Phuc province (supplemented); Report on deciding on the staffing of civil servants in local government agencies at the provincial level in 2025.

Next, the provincial People's Council delegates conducted personnel work, voted to remove 1 provincial People's Council delegate from duty (due to job transfer); dismissed 4 members of the provincial People's Committee (due to being assigned to other jobs) and elected 1 additional member of the provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the closing session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Ha Quang Tien affirmed: After an afternoon of urgent, serious, democratic and responsible work, the 23rd Session of the 17th Provincial People's Council has successfully completed the proposed content and program.

To promptly and effectively implement the resolutions at the session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Ha Quang Tien suggested that immediately after the session, the Provincial People's Committee should have a plan to organize the implementation of the resolutions. The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, committees, delegations and delegates of the Provincial People's Council should perform well the function of inspecting and supervising the implementation of the resolutions, and at the same time actively propagate and mobilize people to effectively implement the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council.
