Pink Vacation - Sharing Journey in Nam Tra My

(QNO) - Amidst the majestic mountains and forests of Nam Tra My highland, the "Pink Holiday" program organized by the Provincial People's Committee Youth Union has ignited the spirit of volunteerism and sharing in the community.

Tak Po Noc, Tra Tap Commune (Nam Tra My) in early May with heavy thunderstorms did not diminish the enthusiasm of the youth union members participating in the volunteer program "Pink Vacation" here.

Without being told, each member of the working group quickly transported medicine, books, gifts, and set up tables and chairs. The team of doctors and nurses from the Youth Union of the Department of Health and the Quang Nam Central General Hospital started to examine and give free medicine to more than 100 children, students and ethnic minorities living in Tak Po hamlet, Tra Tap commune.

Doctor Nguyen Khoa Vy - Deputy Director of Quang Nam Eye Hospital, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Department of Health shared: "Although the weather is not favorable, the youth union members are all active and enthusiastic in participating in the series of events of the Pink Holiday campaign. These activities not only care for and improve the lives of people in the highlands of Tra Tap, but also provide an opportunity for young union members to demonstrate their spirit of solidarity, volunteerism, and dedication to the community".

At Lap Loa peak, the working group coordinated with Tra Tap Commune Youth Union to organize the construction and handover of the youth project “Lighting up the countryside”. Ten solar light bulbs (total value of 22 million VND) were transported, constructed, installed and handed over to the people by the youth union members, bringing voluntary light to the people in the mountainous area with many difficulties here.

In addition, the working group also provided training on technology transfer and gave livelihoods to 300 giổi and lim tree seedlings to the people to green bare hills, realizing the project of planting 1 billion new trees launched by the Central Government.

At the headquarters of Tra Tap commune, the Youth Union members of the Department of Science and Technology deployed a peak period of concentrating on the database, supporting and guiding cadres and civil servants of Tra Mai, Tra Don, Tra Cang and Tra Tap communes to digitize the database, launching a response to the online training program "Digital Education for the People".

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - Secretary of the Youth Union of Tra Tap commune said: "More than 95% of the population in Tra Tap commune are ethnic minorities. Most of the people still have many difficulties and shortages. Today, the Youth Union of the Provincial People's Committee did not hesitate to travel long distances, transporting many medicines, gifts, and very practical support equipment, suitable for actual needs, helping to improve health and improve the lives of the people".
