Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Thi Thuy Duy presents gifts to disadvantaged households.

At the program, the Provincial Youth Union presented 100 gifts of essential necessities to the people of Vinh Phuoc commune, to encourage households to overcome difficulties and improve their lives. In addition, the delegation also presented Vinh Phuoc Commune Youth Union with 1,000 notebooks to support disadvantaged students before the new school year. The total value of the gifts was more than 50 million VND, contributed by the Youth Union units under the Provincial Youth Union and accompanying units.

Speaking at the program, Ms. Quach Thi Thu Thao, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, said that the activity aims to promote the spirit of volunteerism of youth union members through many practical projects and tasks, contributing to creating a vibrant and meaningful volunteer summer. As one of the disabled people receiving gifts from the "Pink Holiday" program , Mr. Doan Minh Dung (Phuoc Ninh hamlet, Phuoc Long commune) expressed his joy and emotion. He shared: "Practical gifts such as rice and necessities help my family feel more secure. This is a great encouragement for me to continue to strive to overcome my circumstances, not to wait or rely on others but to rise up on my own and live a useful life."

“Pink Vacation” is one of the five key activities of the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, for union members, young people who are cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and young laborers. The program aims to promote the spirit of volunteerism, apply expertise in community activities, contribute to gathering and uniting young people, build a strong Youth Union organization and create an environment to practice ethics, lifestyle, and social practice skills for young people.
