The event was chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Hue City, in coordination with specialized units and the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA).
At the conference, the Organizing Committee raised 690 million VND to support people affected by floods in Hue city.
In his opening speech, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong emphasized that golf is becoming an important part of Vietnam's strategy for developing high-quality and sustainable tourism.

In the vision to 2030, the Ministry orients golf development as a high-end tourism product, a comprehensive cultural, sports and tourism economic sector contributing to green growth, regional development and promoting the national image.
The Ministry encourages localities to strengthen regional linkages to form a “National Golf Destination Cluster”, in which the central region, especially Hue City, can become the center of a chain of golf, resort, cultural, health and local experience products. Through this, Vietnam can gradually build the Vietnam Golf brand.

Mr. Jed Moore, General Director of Group 54 emphasized: “Golf is not a destination but a starting point, a spearhead paving the way for a national sports strategy, capable of reshaping the economy, enhancing the national image and inspiring future generations…”.
Mr. Jed Moore shared that Vietnam needs a different direction, taking golf as a catalyst, looking beyond the scope of golf, and aiming for synchronous coordination between ministries, sectors, investors and the community in the same common vision.
The discussions were led by many national and international speakers. The conference's discussions revolved around three major focuses: Shaping Vietnam's golf strategy, developing sustainable golf, and elevating the 5-star golf experience towards a national ranking system.
LIV Golf Ambassador Rick Shiels affirmed that the media is the bridge to bring the image of Vietnamese golf closer to the international public and young people.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee affirmed that the locality will develop golf tourism associated with cultural preservation and sustainable development, where golf both expresses aspirations and connects the local community and international tourists.
