Celebrating the 93rd Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930)

President Ho Chi Minh once said: “Without unity, there will be decline and loss. With unity, there will be prosperity and survival. We must use unity to turn our destiny around, preserve our nation and protect our country.”

Therefore, immediately after the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam , He and our Party assigned the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) the mission of being the flag of great national unity. Over the past 93 years, the VFF at all levels has increasingly affirmed and strongly promoted the great national unity bloc, creating a great strength contributing to the development of the country.

The strength of national unity

Immediately after the Communist Party of Vietnam was founded, on November 18, 1930, the Central Party Standing Committee issued a Directive on the establishment of the Anti-Imperialist Alliance, the first organizational form of the Vietnam National United Front. This event marked the qualitative development of the patriotic movement, of the great national unity bloc in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. Therefore, the founding day of the Vietnam National United Front on November 18 every year has become the glorious traditional day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and the "National Great Unity Day". Since its establishment, under the leadership of the Party, the Vietnam National United Front has increased its activities, aroused the spirit of patriotism, promoted the great strength of the great national unity bloc, combined the strength of the nation with the strength of the times, contributing to bringing the Vietnamese revolutionary boat from one victory to another. In any circumstance, period, with different names, the Front has clearly demonstrated and performed its role and position very well. That is to always be loyal to the principles and purposes of gathering all classes of people into a united bloc of will and action, spirit and force, creating a great strength for the whole nation to complete the noble revolutionary goals initiated and led by our Party. In the current period, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations have been focusing on innovating the content and methods of operation, widely implementing and improving the quality of patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, attracting a large number of people, promoting the spirit of creative emulation and mobilizing resources in society, participating in successfully implementing the goals and tasks of building, developing the country and defending the Fatherland. Actively contributing opinions to the draft Constitution, draft laws, ordinances and draft legal documents; documents submitted to Party Congresses at all levels; recommendations to the Party and the State on many important contents, contributing to the formulation of the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's policies and laws. The achievements over the past 93 years have affirmed that the Vietnam Fatherland Front is worthy of being a representative organization of the people, an important component of the political system in our country, and the leading flag of national unity.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed:
“Building socialist democracy, promoting the will and strength of great national unity, combining with the strength of the times… The Front is a solid bridge between the people and the Party and the State that no force can separate”. Therefore, the mission of upholding the flag of great national unity is always the noble task of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the renovation process initiated and led by our Party.

Continuing the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, over the years, the Binh Thuan Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations have always strived to fulfill their mission: Strengthening the building, consolidation and expansion of the Great National Unity. Thereby contributing to adding internal strength so that Binh Thuan homeland, together with the whole country, can firmly overcome many difficulties and challenges, develop rapidly, sustainably and comprehensively, creating a prosperous and happy life for all classes of people. One of the strong marks is that the Binh Thuan Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has innovated the content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots, linking the work of the Front with the tasks of localities and units. Taking care of building and consolidating the great national unity bloc, implementing democracy well at the grassroots level. Improving the quality and effectiveness of supervision and social criticism activities, participating in giving opinions on Party building, government building, and participating in solving pressing issues at the grassroots level. Pay attention to the material and spiritual life, protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people, encourage all classes of people to enthusiastically participate in patriotic emulation movements, campaigns, promote the people's mastery, participate in building a clean and strong Party and government. In addition, the achievements over 20 years of organizing the National Great Unity Day show the attention and regular leadership and direction of the Party Committee, the coordination and facilitation of localities, departments, branches, and socio-political organizations at all levels in the province. Accordingly, over the past 20 years, through the Festival, people have been mobilized to contribute to the construction and development of more than 90 Cultural - Sports Centers of communes and towns; over 600 Cultural Houses of villages and neighborhoods; nearly 500 sports fields of villages and neighborhoods; Maintain and replicate over 800 models of all kinds in the province through 5 contents of the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas". On the other hand, social security policies have also been implemented very well, such as handing over 760 houses, with a total value of over 24 billion VND; supporting the construction of nearly 6,000 new houses for poor households; repairing over 587 houses with an amount of over 15 billion VND; People contributed over 360 billion VND with the State to carry out hundreds of infrastructure construction projects in residential communities... In these days, when the National Great Unity Day is being widely held in residential areas throughout the province, each of us has more confidence in our Party's guidelines in promoting the role and strategy of national great unity with the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country.
