To honor the great contributions and noble professional values of the nursing profession, since 1965, the International Council of Nurses has chosen May 12 – the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing – as International Nurses Day. Every year, the International Council of Nurses issues a message of action to guide development and raise global awareness of the role of nurses. In 2025, the chosen message is “Our nurses. Our future. Care for nursing to boost the economy ”.
This timely and humane message emphasizes the essential role of nursing staff not only in the field of health care but also in the sustainable development of society and the economy. Caring for nursing is investing in the future, in a healthy, stable and prosperous society.

At the program, delegates reviewed the nursing tradition and praised the contributions of nurses in medical examination and treatment activities. At the same time, they agreed on strategies and orientations for the development of nursing work in the coming time, which are: Continuing to improve the quality of nursing human resources, especially the team of Head Nurses and Head Nurses of Departments, through training, professional development, management and leadership skills. Increasing investment in facilities and equipment, aiming to improve the quality of comprehensive care, focusing on patients. This is a key factor to improve service quality and patient satisfaction. Building a friendly, safe and professional working environment, creating conditions for nurses to promote their capacity, feel secure in their work, stick with their jobs and dedicate themselves to their profession. In addition, continuing to pay attention to the treatment regime, honoring individuals and nursing groups who have made many contributions to the cause of caring for and protecting people's health.

At the conference, experts reported on practical topics with high professional content: Application of intermittent catheterization in urinary tract management; Survey of risk factors and related pressure ulcers in patients treated at the Stroke Neurology Department - Thanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital; Assessment of nutritional status and some related factors of hypertensive patients treated as outpatients at Sam Son General Hospital; Use of software to manage forms to monitor nursing technical processes; Application of Canva software in building communication documents at Tho Xuan District General Hospital.
Through that, it helps to share experiences in patient management and care, improving the quality of current nursing work at medical facilities.
