Pu Luong: The golden season is calling.

Pu Luong stretches across the two districts of Ba Thuoc and Quan Hoa, surrounded by primeval forests, Thai and Muong ethnic villages, and especially terraced fields stretching out, winding like golden silk ribbons in the harvest season. This is the best time for visitors to admire the wild, majestic natural beauty and enjoy the rare fresh, cool air.

According to locals, in about 10 to 15 days, Pu Luong will enter the peak of the rice harvest season - the "golden" time for tourists to come and enjoy this rare beauty.

Mr. Ha Van Duoc, a resident of Don village (Thanh Lam commune, Ba Thuoc district) shared: “This year, the rice is growing very well, the weather is favorable so it will surely yield high yields. In about ten days, people will start harvesting. At that time, the rice will be golden and beautiful. Every season, tourists flock here.”

These days, Pu Luong is gradually donning a new coat - a mesmerizing blend of the green of the forest, the yellow of the rice fields and the white of the clouds.

“Tourists have started arriving since early May, but it is not until early June that the rice is ripe and the scenery is at its most beautiful. This year, the rice on terraced fields in villages such as Don, Bang, Kho Muong... in Thanh Lam and Thanh Son communes (Ba Thuoc district) are all growing well, and will certainly attract a lot of tourists,” said Mr. Bui Manh Van Cuong, Thanh Son commune (Ba Thuoc district) excitedly.

Pu Luong has two main rice seasons in a year - late May to early June and mid-September to early October. Both of these times are peak tourist seasons, when visitors from all over flock to "hunt" for golden rice and experience the unique cultural space of the highlands.

Ms. Le Thi Tuyet - owner of The Palm Pu Luong homestay said: "We have completed preparations from rooms, food, staff to trekking and cycling tours across the village for guests. During the rice harvest season, guests have fully booked rooms on weekends."

“Visitors to Pu Luong at this time really enjoy it because they can see the ripe rice, experience the local culture, bathe in the stream, make a campfire... This is a “golden” season in both the literal and figurative sense for the local tourism industry,” Ms. Tuyet added.

Pu Luong still retains the pristine beauty of a nature reserve. Dense forests, birdsong in the valley, the sound of streams flowing through crevices in the rocks - all create a peaceful symphony of mountains and forests.

Seen from above, the terraced fields seem to be cleverly arranged, creating a vivid landscape painting that makes anyone admire.

Ms. Vu Thi Thu Ha, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: “I have been to many places such as Mu Cang Chai, Y Ty, but Pu Luong has a very unique feature - it is quiet, wild and especially friendly. The people here are simple and friendly, the food is delicious and the scenery is impeccably beautiful.”
