10th Grade Entrance Exam: Math Test Has High Differentiation

- On the morning of June 6, candidates in Lang Son completed the Math exam, the last subject in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year.

According to the reporters of Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station at some examination sites in Lang Son city and some districts in the province, most candidates left the examination room in a relaxed mood after finishing the last exam and completing 3 subjects of this exam.

Most candidates said the test was not too difficult but highly differentiated. Many candidates will easily get 6 to 8 points.

Commenting on this year's math exam, teacher Nguyen Thanh Dung, Deputy Head of the Math Group, Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, Lang Son City said: The structure of the exam is guaranteed to follow the matrix of the Departmentof Education and Training for the 10th grade entrance exam in Lang Son province in the 2025-2026 school year; the questions are distributed reasonably. The exam has selected questions suitable for the ability of each student. Students are able to do well on many questions of recognition, understanding and application; some questions require precise calculation and reasoning, students with good ability can thoroughly solve these two contents. It is expected that with this test, most students will not have difficulty getting 8 to 9 points.

According to a quick report from the Department of Education and Training, 26 candidates were absent from the Math exam, including 1 candidate who was hospitalized for surgery before the exam, 6 candidates who did not submit their application, 19 candidates who dropped out of the exam, and no candidates who violated exam regulations.

Thus, from yesterday until now, in all 3 exams, no candidates, officers, or staff on duty violated the exam regulations. With careful preparation, the exam organization was successful, ensuring safety, seriousness, objectivity, and compliance with regulations.

This afternoon (June 6) and tomorrow morning (June 7), candidates who registered for the specialized subject exam will take the exam at Chu Van An High School for the Gifted (Lang Son City). This afternoon, candidates taking the specialized subjects exam will take the Literature, Math, Information Technology, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, English, and Chinese. On the morning of June 7, candidates taking the specialized English and Chinese exams will take the speaking test.
