Lai Chau organizes mountain climbing competition to conquer Ta Lien Son peak

Ta Lien Son is a mountain in Ta Leng commune, Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province. This is the 6th highest mountain in the top highest mountains in Vietnam with an altitude of 2,996m.

As planned, the tournament will open at 5:45 a.m. on December 17 at Ta Leng Primary Boarding School, Ta Leng Commune, Tam Duong District, Lai Chau Province. The closing ceremony and award ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. on December 17, 2023.

The race is divided into 3 age groups, including 16-30 years old, 31-40 years old and 41 years old and above. Departure from Ta Leng commune 5 km (Concrete road + dirt road) Forest edge 6 km (residential trail) Rest stop 3 km (residential trail) Ta Lien Son peak is 2,996 m above sea level (Finish line). The mountain climbing route is predetermined by the Organizing Committee, following the residential path, at each turn there are signs to guide the way.

The first Lai Chau Provincial Mountain Climbing Tournament in 2023 - Conquering Ta Lien Son Peak is organized to continue promoting and improving the quality of the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", promoting the movement of physical exercise in general and developing adventure sports, associated with mountain climbing tourism (trekking) in particular. Strengthening the great solidarity bloc, through sports competitions, contributing to improving health for working, studying, working and defending the Fatherland; promoting the prevention and combat of social evils.

Through the organization of the Tournament to promote communication, promote and introduce the potentials and advantages of natural landscapes and good traditional cultural values of ethnic groups in the province to domestic and international tourists. At the same time, promote tourism , attract travel businesses and investors to survey, connect, cooperate, invest and do business with businesses and tourism service establishments in the area. Aim to build and develop the sport of mountain climbing (trekking) into a strong tourism product of Lai Chau province.

This is also an opportunity to promote the protection of forest resources and environment; raise awareness of Party committees and authorities at all levels about forest environment protection and the role of forest environment in green and sustainable socio-economic development.
