Meeting of the Emulation Cluster of Journalists Associations of provinces and cities along National Highway 6 in 2024

Delegates attended the meeting of the Journalists' Association emulation cluster of provinces and cities along National Highway 6 and the professional workshop "Journalism Economics in the New Era".

In 2024, the Journalists' Association in the Emulation Cluster completed the application process for 25 new members to be admitted by the Vietnam Journalists Association . The entire Cluster has 1,477 members who have been granted Vietnam Journalists Association membership cards for the 2021-2026 period. The Journalists' Associations in the Emulation Cluster have effectively united, encouraged, and supported members and journalists in disseminating political tasks and achieving many significant accomplishments in their professional activities. Local associations have innovated their operating methods, attracting a large number of members. They have actively coordinated with press agencies and the Professional Training Center of the Vietnam Journalists Association to organize numerous training courses, improving professional skills and modern journalistic techniques for officials and members. Press agencies in the Cluster have won several major journalism awards. Social and charitable activities have been actively promoted and implemented.

Comrade Pham Ngoc Han, Editor-in-Chief of Dien Bien Phu Newspaper and Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial Journalists Association, delivered a speech at the conference.

The conference discussed and shared best practices and innovative approaches that yielded high efficiency in the emulation movement and activities of the Journalists' Associations in the provinces. Cooperation and application of each organization's experience were emphasized to continuously improve and develop in response to the current digital transformation of journalism.

Leaders of the Journalists' Associations of provinces and cities along National Highway 6 signed a competition agreement for 2025.

Comrade To Quang Phan, Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association, handed over the rotating flag to Comrade Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ha, Director of the Radio and Television Station and Vice Chairman of the Lai Chau Provincial Journalists Association – the host unit for the cluster in 2025.

At the conference, representatives from the Journalists' Associations of the five provinces and cities in the Emulation Cluster signed an emulation agreement for 2024-2025. On this occasion, the Hanoi Journalists' Association handed over the responsibility of leading the Emulation Cluster of Journalists' Associations of provinces and cities along Highway 6 for 2025 to the Lai Chau Provincial Journalists' Association.
