Speaking at the opening ceremony, Secretary of Dien Bien Phu Ward Party Committee Nguyen Quang Hung said: Phieng Loi village still retains intact the traditional stilt houses, hand-weaving craft, soft xoe dance, typical culinary treasure, and the affectionate community lifestyle of the Thai ethnic group and the Black Thai branch. This is a priceless source of cultural assets, a distinct advantage for developing a community tourism model in the direction of respecting, preserving and shining the national identity.

Over the past period, thanks to the attention and guidance of the provincial leadership, the involvement of the entire political system of Dien Bien Phu ward, and the unity and efforts of the people, community tourism activities in Phieng Loi have initially shown positive changes: Infrastructure has been invested in and improved, some households have started providing tourism services, boldly investing in accommodation, food, and cultural experiences; the number of tourists visiting is increasing. Phieng Loi has gradually formed a community tourism model, becoming a destination with great potential within the cultural and historical space of the ward.

Immediately after announcing the opening of the tourist destination, the Party Committee of Dien Bien Phu ward will continue to develop the "Dien Bien Phu Ward Night Economic Pedestrian Street and Food Court"; complete the community tourism infrastructure system in Phieng Loi and Ke Nenh, creating an ecological-cultural-historical tourism axis to complete and effectively implement the objectives of the Resolution on tourism development, making tourism a key economic sector.

In his remarks outlining future directions, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nguyen Minh Phu, requested Dien Bien Phu ward to proactively finalize the planning and detailed plan for community tourism development in Phieng Loi village, linking it with the goal of building new rural areas. The locality also needs to research and maximize the exploitation of its natural and cultural potential and advantages to develop diverse tourism products. In particular, it is necessary to maintain and regularly organize festivals, events, and activities showcasing folk songs, folk dances, folk games, sports, entertainment, and characteristic souvenirs to attract tourists.

Comrade Nguyen Minh Phu emphasized the central role of the people – the force directly creating tourism products and services. The people need to unite and work together to preserve the environment and landscape – keeping it green, clean, and beautiful; while also preserving and promoting cultural identity to create unique tourism products. Each citizen must become a friendly and professional "tourism ambassador," contributing to building Phieng Loi into an attractive destination.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that media agencies and tourism businesses strengthen the promotion and introduction of Phiêng Lơi's products and services. At the same time, he urged the promotion of a State-Enterprise-People linkage model, leveraging the leading role of households with investment capacity, and supporting each other in tourism development in the spirit of "unity - working together - sharing the benefits," ensuring harmonious interests and sustainable development.
