Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( Bac A Bank ) has just adjusted its deposit interest rates from today (June 5), thereby becoming the second bank to reduce deposit interest rates in June.

Accordingly, Bac A Bank's interest rates decreased by 0.1%/year for deposit terms from 12-36 months, while terms from 1-11 months remained the same.

According to the deposit interest rate table applied to deposit accounts under 1 billion VND of individual customers receiving interest at the end of the term, the interest rate for 1-2 month term deposits is still listed by Bac A Bank at 3.9%/year; the interest rate for 3 - 4 - 5 month term deposits is 4.2% - 4.3% - 4.4%/year, respectively.

Savings interest rates for terms from 6-8 months are still listed by Bac A Bank at 5.35%/year and for terms from 9-11 months at 5.45%/year.

The latest savings interest rate after adjustment for 12-month term is 5.6%/year, 13-15 month term is 5.7%/year.

Notably, savings interest rates for terms from 18-36 months are no longer maintained at 6%/year after being reduced to 5.9%/year.

With Bac A Bank just reducing deposit interest rates, only two banks, HDBank and Vikki Bank, are maintaining interest rates of 6%/year for long-term deposits.

However, Bac A Bank continues to maintain an interest rate of 6.1%/year if customers deposit savings of 1 billion VND or more.

With the payment of interest rates on deposits, this bank lists the interest rate applied to deposit accounts of 1 billion VND or more as 0.2% higher per year than the interest rate for the same term applied to deposit accounts of less than 1 billion VND.

At the same time, Bac A Bank also reduced 0.1%/year bank interest rates for terms from 12-36 months. Accordingly, the latest bank interest rate table for deposits from 1 billion VND is as follows:

Bank interest rate for 1-2 month term is 4.1%/year; interest rate for 3-4-5 month term is 4.4% - 4.5% - 4.6%/year respectively; 6-8 month term is 5.55%/year; 9-11 month term is 5.65%/year.

The latest interest rate after reduction for 12-month term is 5.8%/year, while the interest rate for 13-15 month terms is 5.9%/year.

Despite the downward adjustment, the 18-36 month term deposit interest rate remains at 6.1%/year.

Bac A Bank is the second bank to reduce interest rates this June. Previously, on June 4, LPBank reduced interest rates for 18-60 month deposits by 0.2% per year.

In early May, Bac A Bank suddenly increased deposit interest rates by 0.2% per year for terms from 1-11 months.

Thus, up to now, only HDBank and Vikki Bank have listed the 6% interest rate for the 18-month term.
