The highest online interest rate for 12-month term deposits, according to the official listing of banks, is 6%/year. Vikki Digital Bank (Vikki Bank) is listing this interest rate for customers making online deposits for terms of 12-36 months.
However, recently, Vikki Bank suddenly stopped posting online deposit interest rates on its website. Instead, the bank only listed deposit products at the counter with the highest deposit interest rate of 5.9%/year, applied to term deposits from 18-36 months, while the interest rates for 12- and 13-month term deposits were 5.65% and 5.7%/year, respectively.
After Vikki Bank stopped listing online deposit interest rates, GPBank is leading the market in terms of the highest interest rate for 12-month online deposits, up to 5.95%/year.
Banks with high 12-month savings interest rates include BaoViet Bank, MBV and VietBank. All three banks are listing online savings interest rates of 5.8%/year for 12-month deposits.
The 12-month term interest rate at ABBank and Bac A Bank is 5.7%/year. Of which, Bac A Bank is the latest bank to increase deposit interest rates at a series of terms. Specifically, the 1-11 month term interest rate is increased by Bac A Bank by 0.2%/year, the 12-36 month term is increased by 0.1%/year.
The online deposit interest rate of 5.6%/year is listed at a series of banks, including BVBank, HDBank , MSB, NCB, Saigonbank, Viet A Bank.
Meanwhile, KienlongBank, Nam A Bank and VCBNeo listed deposit interest rates at 5.5%/year for a 12-month term.
At LPBank, PGBank and Sacombank, the online savings interest rate applied for this term is 5.4%/year; while SHB , VPBank and Eximbank announced an interest rate of 5.3%/year.
TPBank is the only bank listing an interest rate of 5.2%/year for a 12-month term. Following are PVCombank and OCB with an interest rate of 5.1%/year, MB listed an interest rate of 5%/year after a recent downward adjustment.
The remaining banks are all listing online interest rates below 5%/year for 12-month term deposits. Specifically, ACB and VIB are 4.9%/year; Agribank is 4.8%/year; Techcombank is 4.75%/year (applied to deposits under 1 billion VND); BIDV, VietinBank, SeABank are 4.7%/year; Vietcombank is 4.6%/year and SCB is 3.7%/year.
Today, May 9, no bank changed its deposit interest rate schedule.
Since the beginning of May, two banks have increased deposit interest rates: Techcombank and Bac A Bank.
Meanwhile, MB is the only bank that has reduced deposit interest rates for all terms. Eximbank has reduced interest rates by 0.1-0.3%/year for most terms under 36 months, while increasing deposit interest rates for 36-month terms by 0.3%/year.
