In his opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Quang Huy, Principal of the School of Technology, National Economics University emphasized, “Blockchain and especially AI are not only a trend but also a great opportunity to help Vietnam advance on the world digital economic map. Students need to grasp and master this technology to meet the needs of the labor market and master their own future. Blockchain and AI have been reshaping the digital economy, and are also the key to opening up international career paths for the young generation. Mastering this technology will help students gain a competitive advantage in the labor market.”

Sharing about the issue that is causing much debate in the community, whether AI is a companion or an adversary in the labor market, Dr. Le Linh Luong, Deputy Director of ABAII, said, “AI brings both opportunities and challenges: Opportunities for those who know how to grasp and master this tool and challenges for those who are slow to catch up with current changes. Our task is to grasp the advantages, limit the disadvantages so that AI becomes an effective tool, serving good purposes in learning, working and contributing to socio-economic development”.

According to McKinsey's 2023 report, AI generates about $4 trillion a year for the global economy, with marketing, sales, and software development being the most impacted industries. According to Microsoft's report, workers of all ages, from GenZ (18-28 years old), Millennials (29-43 years old), GenX (44-57) to Boomers (over 58 years old) are all tending to accept and use AI as an indispensable learning and working tool with an application rate of 73-85%.

Assessing the impact of AI on the labor market, especially for technology students, MSc. Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Master of Machine Learning, Lecturer of the Faculty of Economic Mathematics, National Economics University, also emphasized that AI not only helps businesses optimize performance, but also brings many unprecedented opportunities. Mr. Tuan cited some outstanding AI applications such as the Virtual Service Desk Agent (VSDA) which is a powerful support tool for the IT industry, capable of cutting 99% of waiting time and reducing up to 40% of working time for customer service departments. AI is also being widely applied in many other fields such as supply chain, mathematics with advanced technologies such as self-driving cars and smart warehouse management systems, helping to completely change the way these traditional industries operate.

In particular, the program also created a forum for students to directly exchange with experts in a discussion session with the topic "Job trends in Blockchain and AI: Opportunities to improve skills and increase income for students" with the participation of leading Blockchain and AI experts.

Regarding the practical application of Blockchain and AI, MSc. Pham Manh Cuong, Director of Wischain Company Limited, said that Blockchain not only helps improve security but also fundamentally changes the way data and financial transactions are managed through the development of digital assets and Blockchain applications such as Tokenized Real Assets (RWA), NFT, etc.

MSc. Nguyen Minh Cuong, Chief Consultant of Alobase JSC, agrees when pointing out that the demand for human resources in the Blockchain and AI industry is very large, especially programmer positions with high income and a flexible, less competitive international working environment.

In parallel, when mentioning concerns about AI replacing humans, Dr. Luong Van Thien, Lecturer of the Faculty of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, School of Technology, National Economics University emphasized that AI will replace many repetitive jobs, especially in the service industry, but at the same time, it will open up new career opportunities that have never appeared before. In particular, Vietnamese students with competitive advantages in capacity and readiness to change will likely be priorities in the international labor market in the near future.

Ms. Pham Thuy Linh, Director of TomoTech JSC, commented that AI will not completely replace humans but mainly supplement and enhance human labor capacity in many fields by partially automating tasks in industries such as Education, Accounting - Auditing, Data Analysis, etc. At the same time, it also creates new demands for new skills and roles.

Sharing about the negative aspects of AI, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tung, General Director of VVN AI Technology JSC, emphasized that the rapid development of the AI industry is requiring compliance with AI ethics and community standards, avoiding the abuse of AI for bad purposes such as using deepfake (fake images, high-quality voices) to commit fraud or impersonate identities. He also encouraged students to seize career development opportunities in the field of providing identification and cybersecurity solutions to deal with these risks.

Sharing the same view with Mr. Tung, Ms. Pham Thuy Linh, Director of Talent Development at ABAII Institute, encouraged students to actively study and improve their knowledge of Blockchain and AI to proactively grasp career opportunities with high income. “The opportunity to study and join the international labor market has never been so close and students need to proactively grasp this opportunity,” Ms. Pham Thuy Linh emphasized.

Within the framework of the program, ABAII Institute also offers special incentives for students when registering for AI Application training courses for students on MasterTeck - Vietnam's leading online learning platform on Blockchain and AI. MasterTeck has more than 300 courses focusing on 24 attractive careers with high income and provides prestigious international certificates from EC Council, CompTIA, PECB. Possessing these international certificates will be a great advantage for students when entering the global labor market.

Following the success of the 14th program at the School of Technology, National Economics University, a series of activities to popularize Blockchain and AI, opening up new career opportunities for students, ABAII Unitour will continue to be organized at the University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Hue University and many other prestigious universities across the country./.
