Do well the 3 stages of creating - publishing - distributing literary and artistic works

Attending the workshop were Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches and sectors; Executive Board of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations and specialized associations.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Hua Thi Anh Dao, Vice President of the City's Union of Literature and Arts Associations, affirmed: Can Tho has a long cultural tradition and has been affirming its position as a dynamic and creative cultural center. The current picture of Can Tho's literature and arts is quite vibrant and diverse in terms of both creation, reception of works, research, theory and criticism. Currently, under the impact of the market economy , the policy of socialization, information technology and international integration, many new types of literature and arts have emerged. Besides the positive trends, there are also many complex issues and phenomena arising.

This workshop focused on analyzing the role of Party committees at all levels in building and developing literature and arts; state management of literature and arts; improving the quality of publications in Can Tho Literature and Arts Magazine; the role of Can Tho artists and writers in the development of literature and arts... The presentations at the workshop focused on evaluating, analyzing, and making recommendations to develop Can Tho literature and arts in the coming time.

Speaking at the workshop, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep emphasized: Along with the general development of the city, cultural and artistic activities continue to achieve many good results, reaping many high-quality and effective works, contributing to enriching the spiritual life of the people.

In the coming time, the city leaders requested the Union of Literature and Arts Associations, professional associations and artists to continue to implement, study and thoroughly grasp the Party's policies and resolutions on literature and arts. Continue to promote the activities of creating, researching and criticizing literature and arts; innovate the work of publishing literature and arts works to ensure richness and diversity in content and topics. Focus on doing well the 3 stages: creating - publishing works - distributing, striving to have many literature and arts works win prizes in national and regional competitions. At the same time, improve the quality of the city's literature and arts awards.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep also emphasized the role of innovating the operation methods of professional associations, diversifying the forms of activities and gatherings to attract members; taking care of developing the team of artists in both quantity and quality, especially the young members.
