Our group departed from Phan Thiet at 7:30 AM, following National Highway 28B, passing through Da Mi and then heading straight to Bao Loc. The winding mountain passes and the breathtaking scenery made everyone forget their worries and anxieties. The climate in the highlands wasn't as cold as in other months, so the comfort and excitement of each member of the group was evident on their faces.
After checking in at Da Mi Lake with its picturesque scenery, we arrived in Bao Loc around noon. After checking into our homestay in the outskirts of Bao Loc city, the group had lunch and rested. Bao Loc boasts a majestic natural landmark of the Central Highlands, a must-see destination when visiting this region: Dambri Waterfall. With a height of over 60 meters, the waterfall cascades down amidst the lush green primeval forest, creating a captivating scene. Beyond its inherent beauty, the Dambri Waterfall tourist area also offers exciting experiences with the longest waterslide in Southeast Asia.
Dambri Waterfall, located on the outskirts of Bao Loc city, is known as the highest waterfall in Lam Dong province. Surrounded by pristine primary forest, it boasts a majestic yet peaceful beauty. The name "Dambri" originates from the K'ho language, meaning "waiting." According to legend, this is the story of the faithful love between a young K'ho couple. The girl waited for her lover by the waterfall, and her tears formed the Dambri waterfall we see today. This meaning adds to the romantic and mysterious charm of this special destination. The waterfall is both magnificent and impressive, with two main streams cascading down from above, creating a white, straight cascade. To reach the top, you must climb over 138 steps. The path to the top is nestled against a steep cliff. However, nowadays, after descending to the base of the waterfall to admire the scenery and take souvenir photos, visitors can ascend to the top using an elevator, while those who enjoy exploring can follow the steps.
From the starting point of the tourist area, the steps don't lead visitors directly down to the foot of the waterfall, but instead branch off along a small path halfway up the mountain. Therefore, you can admire the waterfall from above, appreciating the wondrous beauty of Mother Nature.
Visitors come here with an all-inclusive ticket price of 250,000 VND per person; this includes riding the waterslide, watching 7D movies, pedaling swan boats on the lake, riding the Ferris wheel, and taking the elevator down to the base of the waterfall… With such an all-inclusive price, visitors would be missing out if they didn't use the services. Therefore, once they've been here, everyone thinks it's worth a visit, like "better to suffer than to lose money."
Bao Loc has Dambri Waterfall which attracts a large number of tourists every year, while Tanh Linh and Ham Thuan Bac districts in our province also have Ba Waterfall and Nine-Tiered Waterfall. However, the investment and exploitation are different, so it's easy to understand why the number of visitors is not the same.
