Spreading the learning and following of Uncle Ho - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

The Provincial Federation of Labor (PPL) is currently directly managing 13 grassroots trade unions and 1,324 grassroots trade unions, and coordinating and directing 18 grassroots trade unions under the Central Industry Trade Unions located in the area. The total number of union members in the grassroots trade unions under the PPL is nearly 45,800.

Ms. Be Thi Hoa, President of the Provincial Federation of Labor, said: Implementing Directive No. 05 dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle", the Provincial Federation of Labor has issued documents guiding and directing the Federations of Labor of districts, cities, and affiliated trade unions to disseminate and study the directive to all cadres and workers, in conjunction with emulation movements and campaigns, such as: "Good workers, creative workers"; "Lang Son joins the whole country in building new rural areas"; "Cadres, civil servants and public employees of Lang Son province compete to implement office culture" for the period 2019 - 2025...

Accordingly, from 2016 to present, the Provincial Federation of Labor has organized 9 conferences to disseminate and study specialized topics for full-time union officials. District, city, and industry federations of labor have developed plans and directed 100% of grassroots unions to organize over 10,000 specialized study sessions with the participation rate of over 99%.

Through studying Directive No. 05 and thematic topics of the years, the awareness of cadres and laborers has been gradually raised. 100% of cadres and union members have developed a plan to commit to self-cultivation, strive to practice, study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Studying and following Uncle Ho has become a regular activity of cadres and laborers.

Mr. Do Tri Tu, a member of the Union of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: Learning and following Uncle Ho, I always keep in mind that I must do my job better. During my work, I have coordinated the development of 4 experience initiatives; participated in the implementation of 6 projects, 1 provincial-level scientific research project.

At the same time, imbued with Uncle Ho's advice: "The trade union must improve the lives of workers, enhance the material and cultural life of the working class in particular and the people in general", from 2016 to present, 224,368 Vietnamese workers have been visited by trade unions at all levels with a total value of over 93 billion VND; supported under the housing program "Trade Union Shelter" for 66 Vietnamese workers with a total value of 2.2 billion VND; supported union members with serious illnesses, difficult family circumstances... with a total amount of 527 million VND; supported the new rural construction program, the dilapidated house elimination program with an amount of 360 million VND.

To spread the study and follow of Uncle Ho, trade unions at all levels have promoted the implementation of patriotic emulation movements, concretized through "Skillful Mass Mobilization" models associated with practical work at units and establishments. According to incomplete statistics, from 2021 to present, trade unions at all levels in the province have built nearly 900 typical models in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

Mr. Pham Van Thang, Chairman of the Van Lang District Labor Federation, said: The "Smart Mass Mobilization" model is implemented by the grassroots unions in the district in conjunction with solving issues that the Vietnamese Labor Federation and the people are concerned about. From 2024 to now, 70% of the affiliated grassroots unions have registered and implemented a total of nearly 70 projects and tasks. In particular, the main projects are lighting up village roads, rural traffic, building village gates, etc.

Through specific models, practical work and appropriate methods, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style not only contributes to raising awareness and responsibility among trade union officials and workers but also creates positive changes in implementing the goals and tasks of each agency, unit and enterprise. From 2016 to present, in the provincial trade union levels, there are more than 100 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, which have been commended and rewarded by all levels and sectors.
