The delegation was led by Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Quang. Also attending were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Council Le Van Nung; Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung and members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of departments and branches; former provincial leaders; leaders of districts, towns and cities.
At the statue of President Ton Duc Thang, the delegation laid a wreath to express their respect and deep gratitude for President Ton Duc Thang's great contributions to the Vietnamese revolutionary cause. Next, the delegation moved to the Memorial Site of President Ton Duc Thang (My Hoa Hung Commune), which marks the childhood years and revolutionary activities of the beloved leader. Here, the delegates respectfully offered incense, observed a moment of silence, and remembered the life and glorious revolutionary career of Uncle Ton.
In memory of President Ton Duc Thang, Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Quang wrote in the guestbook: “In the heroic atmosphere of the historic April days, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). Today, with sincere gratitude, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province organize an incense offering ceremony to commemorate President Ton Duc Thang - an exemplary leader, a staunch communist, a close comrade in arms of President Ho Chi Minh , a loyal soldier of the international communist and workers' movement.
Proud of the land that gave birth to simple yet extremely noble people, over the years, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in An Giang province have inherited and promoted good traditions, joined hands, unanimously, made great efforts to study and work; promoted the spirit of self-reliance, self-improvement, dynamism and creativity, exploited potentials and strengths, took advantage of opportunities, overcame difficulties and challenges, and built An Giang province today and tomorrow to be increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.
