(HG) - To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the province's founding (January 1, 2004 - January 1, 2024) and contribute to the implementation of social security work and care for people's lives, on the morning of May 23, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Tran Van Huyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented a symbolic board to support 6 solidarity houses for poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households in Long My town, each worth 50 million VND.

Provincial leaders hope that the beneficiaries will consider the house as a motivation to strive to increase production and save money to escape poverty sustainably; at the same time, they noted that Party committees and authorities at all levels in Long My town need to continue to pay attention and promptly implement support policies so that poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances in the area can have an increasingly better life.
Six households received housing support, including: Mr. Truong Mui Hia, in Long Hoa 2 hamlet, Long Phu commune; Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, in Tan Thanh hamlet, Tan Phu commune; Mr. Nguyen Van Men, in Binh Tan area, Vinh Tuong ward; Mr. Nguyen Van Duc, in hamlet 4, Long Tri A commune; Mr. Nguyen Van Dua, in hamlet 6, Long Tri A commune; Mr. Nguyen Van Muoi, in Long Hung 1 hamlet, Tan Phu commune.
Up to now, from the source of support from the province and social mobilization, Long My town has built 59 solidarity houses for the people.
