Provincial People's Committee leaders inspect the socio-economic development situation in Van Quan district - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

- On the morning of April 23, Comrade Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of Inspection Team No. 4 of the Provincial People's Committee, led the inspection team to inspect the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and state budget estimates; the implementation of the economic growth scenario plan for 2025; and the results of the implementation of 3 national target programs in Van Quan district.

According to the report at the conference, from the beginning of 2025, the district has focused on directing the synchronous implementation of tasks and solutions for socio-economic development in the area.

As a result, in the first quarter of 2025, the total cultivated area of ​​the district reached 2,196.07 hectares, equal to 100.4% over the same period; state budget revenue as of April 12 reached over 10.1 billion VND, estimated at 37% of the province's assigned estimate; regarding public investment disbursement, by the end of April 17, the district had disbursed over 21.7 billion VND, reaching 23.3% of the plan.

Regarding the results of implementing the 3 national target programs, the total disbursed capital from the beginning of 2025 to present is over 9.3 billion VND, reaching 11% of the assigned plan; up to now, the entire district has achieved an average of 13 new rural criteria (NTM)/commune; from 2022 to present, the multidimensional poverty rate of the district has decreased by an average of over 7%/year...

At the same time, the cultural and social fields continue to receive attention; social security is implemented with attention; people's material and spiritual lives are improved; national defense and security are ensured.

For Hoa Binh commune (a commune striving to meet NTM standards by 2025), up to now the commune has achieved 12/19 NTM criteria.

Discussing at the inspection session, representatives of departments and branches requested the district to clarify and continue to pay attention to directing the implementation of a number of contents such as: reviewing and implementing the settlement of state budget capital projects; speeding up the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses; paying attention to document management after the arrangement and merger of administrative units; continuing to consolidate, maintain and improve the quality of achieved NTM criteria; the work of granting land use right certificates for cultural houses and sports grounds in the area...

The leader of the District People's Committee spoke to clarify some contents of the inspection team's opinions.

The leaders of the departments and branches directly informed and answered some recommendations and proposals of the District People's Committee raised at the inspection session. The opinions of the members of the working group were accepted and explained by the leaders of Van Quan district.

Speaking at the inspection, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the outstanding results the district has achieved since the beginning of 2025. He also pointed out a number of limitations and shortcomings that need to be resolved.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, he requested the People's Committee of Van Quan district to fully absorb direct comments and written comments from departments and branches; focus on overcoming the shortcomings and limitations that have been pointed out; continue to propagate, thoroughly grasp, and seriously organize the implementation of the work of arranging commune-level administrative units to ensure effective and efficient operations; focus on reviewing all assets, finances, and projects to have a plan for arrangement according to regulations.

He also requested that Van Quan district continue to lead and direct the effective implementation of activities and tasks to concretize the economic growth scenario in 2025; promote the disbursement progress of public investment capital and national target programs; accurately review, promote propaganda, mobilize, and implement the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses...

In addition, he also noted issues related to agricultural production, in which the district needs to have solutions to combat drought, increase materials and equipment for this work; step up propaganda on forest fire prevention and fighting; and strengthen coordination to ensure security and order in the area.
