Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee received and worked with the delegation of Binh Phuoc province

On August 21, comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting and worked with a delegation of Binh Phuoc province led by comrade Tran Tuyet Minh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, who came to study and exchange experiences on the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction.

At the meeting, the leaders of the two localities shared the results achieved in socio -economic development and plans to implement tasks and targets for socio-economic development in the coming time. The leaders of Binh Phuoc province wished to learn and exchange experiences on the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction.

Sharing his experience, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said: Through the results of the investigation and review at the end of 2022, the whole Ninh Thuan province has over 8,000 households, the poverty rate according to the multidimensional poverty standard accounts for 5.93%, down 1.86% compared to 2021. The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Ninh Thuan province is the standing agency of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, which has promptly advised the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee to basically issue complete directive documents and implement. The Provincial People's Committee has directed and established a Working Group to support the implementation and disbursement of capital for the National Target Program of the province and district; at the same time, organized many meetings to direct the removal of difficulties and obstacles; issued many directive documents, accelerating the implementation progress of the Programs. As of July 31, 2023, the whole province has disbursed 49% of the plan for development investment capital and 22.5% of the plan for public service capital. The National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction alone has disbursed 50% of the plan for development investment capital and 30.3% of the plan for public service capital. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that Ninh Thuan and Binh Phuoc also have some similarities in culture, nature and society. With the spirit of working together, sharing and learning from experiences, Ninh Thuan province hopes that the departments and branches of the two provinces will establish an information connection mechanism to share good and creative practices in sustainable poverty reduction.

On behalf of the working delegation, Comrade Tran Tuyet Minh, Vice Chairman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee, thanked Ninh Thuan province for the exchanges and sharing of experiences in implementing sustainable poverty reduction, especially the experience in disbursing capital sources by applying documents of the Central Government; the establishment of a support team to directly advise the Steering Committee to speed up the implementation of the programs. With the experiences in Ninh Thuan, Binh Phuoc province will speed up the disbursement of capital sources under the National Target Program in 2023 and expressed the hope that the two localities will continue to strengthen cooperation in all fields.
