Gasoline prices today October 20: Market recovers

According to Reuters, the increase in oil prices comes from the expectation of a global trade recovery after many gloomy days. Previously, oil prices had hit their lowest level since early May due to the impact of trade tensions, geopolitical fluctuations and information that India could stop importing oil from Russia.

US President Donald Trump said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to sharply reduce oil imports from Russia - the country that is currently India's largest supplier, accounting for about 1/3 of total imports. Expert Tony Sycamore (IG Markets) assessed that this is a positive signal for global crude oil prices, because reducing dependence on Russian oil can help balance the market and reduce the risk of oversupply.
