The victim was Le Van Tho, 47 years old, residing in Long Khanh ward, Dong Nai province.
Previously, at around 6:00 p.m. on November 12, Mr. Tho and Mr. Truong Quoc Thong (58 years old, residing in Nghia Trung commune, Dong Nai province) rowed a boat carrying coffee from bridge 38 (village 5, Nghia Trung commune) across the Thac Mo hydroelectric reservoir.
Just as they were rowing out to the middle of the river, the boat suddenly capsized, causing both people and goods to fall into the water. Mr. Thong was lucky to swim to shore. Only Mr. Tho, the boat and coffee were capsized and swept away, missing.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department, Dong Nai Provincial Police mobilized specialized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to quickly arrive at the scene, coordinating with local forces to deploy a plan to search for the victims.

Because the area where the boat capsized was quite large and the water was deep, the search was quite difficult. As of 9:30 a.m. on November 13, the authorities had still not found the victim. The search is still being actively carried out by the authorities.
