Incense offering and candle lighting ceremony at Ba Doc Martyrs Cemetery

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on the evening of July 26, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province held an incense offering and candle lighting ceremony at Ba Doc Martyrs Cemetery, Nam Trach commune.

Attending the ceremony were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Chief Inspector of the province Nguyen Luong Binh; Secretary of the Dong Hoi Ward Party Committee Pham Thi Han; Secretary of the Ba Don Ward Party Committee Phan Manh Hung; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Phong Phu; Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Minh Tam, along with representatives of departments, branches, organizations, armed forces and more than 700 union members and youth representing the youth of Quang Tri .

At the ceremony, in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang and delegates performed the bell ringing ceremony. Next, delegates respectfully laid wreaths, offered incense and lit candles at each grave to express gratitude and commemorate the great contributions of the previous generation who heroically sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and reunification.

The incense offering and candle lighting ceremony at Ba Doc Martyrs Cemetery, the resting place of more than 3,000 martyrs, is an annual activity demonstrating the nation's morality of "remembering the source of water" and is also an opportunity to promote patriotism and revolutionary tradition education for the younger generation.
