The 2025 Vietnam - Japan Buddhist Cultural Exchange Festival is expected to have the participation of over 2,000 people, including 1,000 monks, nuns, Buddhists and Japanese tourists.

This festival will feature many unique traditional rituals and art activities of both countries, such as: Buddha recitation, Xam singing, flower offering ceremony, sutra copying, morning meditation, Buddha worship ceremony at Ba Sao pagoda...

In particular, the Fire Offering Ceremony is a ritual that attracts a large number of Buddhists and tourists. This is an ancient Japanese practice that combines Indian Buddhism, esoteric Buddhism and Chinese Taoism.

The Fire Purification Ritual (Saito Ogomaku) is an esoteric ritual of Japanese Buddhism with sacred significance to resolve difficult problems and achieve wishes.

With the symbolic power of fire, the Fire Purification Ceremony reminds people to appreciate the blessings of the sun - the source of life-nourishing energy and the ritual uses the power of the sun to ward off evil and illness.

According to the Organizing Committee, the Vietnam - Japan Buddhist Cultural Exchange Festival not only has spiritual significance, praying for national peace and prosperity, but also aims to enhance religious and cultural exchanges between Vietnam and Japan.
